For sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom is a 1959 Dodge D-100. From 1957 to 1959, Dodge proposed the Sweptside pickup, a rival to the Chevrolet Cameo Carrier, but it never became a best-seller. A flat-sided (and thus wider) "Sweptline" cargo box came in 1959. The company also adopted the standard pickup truck numbering scheme, also used by Ford and GM at that time. Thus, the ½ ton Dodge was now called the D100. A traditional separate-fender body "Utiline" version was also built which had a GVWR of 9,000 lb (4,100 kg). The D-100 was considered a workings man’s truck back in the day. It’s somewhat of a rarity to locate these in good shape because of this. However, this owner has been able to do just that. This 1959 is only a 2-OWNER vehicle! That’s right, just 2 owners throughout its lifetime! This vehicle was bought and owned by a gentleman in California way back in 1959 (Owner provided original bill of sale). He held on to it and used this vehicle all the way up until about 2 years ago, when it was then purchased by the present owner today. The original owner loved this truck so much, he gave it a front/back full restoration (approximately 2006) a few years before selling this vehicle. Restoring it back to the shape he had previously purchased/received it in 1959. This vehicle is powered by a 318 V-8 engine and 4- speed transmission. Other eye-catching features include: Very clean interior, old school air-vent in the cab, chrome grill/hubcaps highlighting the word “Dodge” on each (No mistaking this one for a Chevy) & in my opinion, a beautiful looking woodgrain bed laid throughout. This most certainly was a quality work truck back in the day, but it’s ready to go to work for you now! The Atlanta showroom is proud to offer this classic work horse of the sixties a 1966 Dodge D 100. The second generation of the “D” line of trucks. The D 100 played an integral role of the American truck revolution. Long known for their sturdy construction and dependability, the D 100 was a mainstay of Americana. This D 100 for sale sports the ever dependable 290 C.I D. engine and a three on the tree transmission, being the base model for the D 100 series. This truck still carries some of its original paint and a lot of patina. The truck has been well cleaned and then cleared over to preserve that patina and retain its weathered look. Both floor pans have been replaced by Grave Robbers along with one of the rockers. Engine and transmission are both in good working order with new spark plugs and plug wires. The interior bench seat has been recovered in a contrasting pleather. This D 100 is ready to show or go. Get your hat, work gloves and the dog, then let’s go to work. This 1978 Dodge D100 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The D/W series of truck from MOPAR was released in 1961 with D designating the 2WD models and the W for 4WD models. Dodge was one of the first manufactures to offer a high-performance truck when in 1964 they allowed you to order a 426 wedge in not only their CSS truck but in a stripped-down base model. This green beast was built with the same high performance in mind when the restoration was done. Taken off the frame and starting from scratch the old 318 was replaced with this built 440 providing plenty of power. Feeding just the right amount of fuel to that big block is an Edelbrock 4 barrel sitting on top of the matching Edelbrock intake. With the spent gasses being sent through a set of headers and out the back courtesy of the dual exhaust this is one mean sounding MOPAR. The 727 Torque Flite transmission handles the extra grunt with ease shifting thru the gears smoothly. The exterior of this D100 is spot on with the light powder green accented by the dark silver bumpers and grill. The lowered stance goes well with the custom wheels and give the truck that sporty look. Inside was given the Sport Truck treatment with a set of buckets with the center armrest having the ability to be flipped up for a third passenger. The under-dash AC is plenty to keep the cab of this D100 nice and cool. If you have been trying to find a clean D100 that is ready to be driven to show, collect your trophy and then drive it back home this is the one. Options on this 1978 D100 include, AC, AM/FM/CD, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Aluminum Wheels with Radial Tires.
