1967 Buick GS 400

1967 Buick GS 400

Engine: 400 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 77,539 ( undocumented )

This 1967 Buick GS 400 convertible is special car as it carries the new generation V8 motor and sported the out of sight red "Star Wars" air cleaner! The entire GS package was coming together and forming its own identity instead of being an adjunct to the Skylark- Special series. Production of 1967 GS 400 convertibles was low to start with. Only about 2,140 cars in all forms. There were 9 three speed manual cars made and 422 four speed manual cars. Which leads us to our example finished in bright red. The white soft top looks incredible against the bold red paint, but with just one touch of a button, the power roof folds down to reveal an even more impressive interior. The rich black inside against the shining red paint has the kind of bold and sophisticated presentation you want from a Buick GS. All the best original trim is still in place, from the chrome GS 400 badges on the door panels, to the Buick crest sitting below the dash. Under the hood this car proudly shows off the 400 cubic-inch powerplant. It had an advertised 340 horsepower, but remember, those were days of underrating for the insurance people. After all, this big block V8 with the four-barrel carburetor has an unmistakably powerful rumble from the dual exhaust. And being equipped with the one wire ignition means this is one of the more reliable cars you can get your hands on from this era. 1969 Buick GS

1969 Buick GS

Engine: 400 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 18,453 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this GM legend, a beautiful 1969 Buick GS Stage I! The ‘stage’ was set by several manufacturers in 1969, the midst of the performance car war that raged fiercely both on and off the track. Buicks were certainly not considered as the favorite brand by performance enthusiasts as GM cousins Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac were on the front lines with big engines like the 396 and the W30 package. Starting a year earlier, the Buick Parts Department sought to address this issue with its offering of two tuning stages that could be more competitive on the strip. Enter the Stage I and II which embodied different levels of performance. The Stage I gave you more horsepower and an upgraded carburetor, fuel pump, high-lift crankshaft and heavy-duty valves springs. This 1969 GS Stage I has all those goodies and features the sleek redesign of the model year including a new grille and a sporty hood design featuring a power bulge with two louvered scoops that allow air to get to that hungry carb! The Stage I became an official option in 1969 with the headliner being the 400 CID V8 rated at 345 horsepower! This Buick rumbles with the numbers-matching engine and automatic transmission and smoothly launches thanks to a posi-rear 3.64 gears. Wearing beautiful Burgundy Mist PPG® paint and topped with a manual black top, this sporty classic is ready to ride and look good while doing it! Open the doors to reveal a crisp black vinyl interior with bucket seats and spacious interior. Wrap your hands around the sport steering wheel and easily shift with a familiar GM horseshoe shifter! Everything on this beauty has been gone through properly and the only thing you need to do is enjoy it! It’s not often you see complete examples of Buick’s performance vehicles, so act quickly so this GS doesn’t slip away! Additional features include Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Tilt Wheel and Seat Belts.
