This 1967 Chevrolet Malibu is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 67 Malibu is considered to be on of the best-looking cars of all times. It classic coke bottle styling is something that got everyone talking. While there were others who did it, some even before GM, they did it the best. Those sleek lines and multiple trim levels would out the fastback in the record books. This beautiful example is one of the cleanest ones I have seen. With a what is believed to be 53654 original miles on the car it was a great car to begin with. Not quite satisfied the decision was made to get the body laser straight and place the classic sleeper paint job look. The Nantucket Blue is classic to the Malibu, but the white painted top is something not often seen. With the paint job having a clear coat laid in top the shine on the car is guaranteed to draw a crowd. Underneath is clean as well, with no crazy patch jobs the pans look amazing. With front and rear sway bars added these 67 rides and drives like dream. Under the hood is a small block 350 which was bored .030 over making the total displacement of 355 CI’s. The double hump heads have been gone through and with all new valves, guides, and seats this small block is ready for the street. The L79 option came in either 325 or 350 horse power rating with this one having the 350 CAM. The additional work on the heads along with the added displacement this small block is estimated at 400HP. The Muncie M21 4 speed shifts out great with the clutch feeling just right. The rear end is a 10 bolt with a 3.08 gear set allowing for some decent highway driving. For sale in out Chicago showroom is this purpose-built 1971 Chevrolet Malibu. Sporting a massive 565 cubic inch Big Block Chevy V8 built around a stout Dart “Big M” block, this Malibu is ready to thrash. Needless to say, the rest of the driveline is built to handle the punishment. A beefy TH-400 transmission with a manual valvebody gives all the benefits of selecting your own gears, without the headache of sourcing a strong enough clutch. The GM 12-bolt rear eng was fitted with Strange axles and is plenty capable of handling the 925 horsepower dying to burn through the tires. With a slick coat of Royal Blue paint and the obligatory white stripe laid down about 5 years ago, it still shines great and gets plenty of looks. The interior, while fairly stripped, still has all of the necessities to take you ¼ mile at a time. An overhead switch panel controls all the engine controls, i.e. cooling fans, ignition, and starter, and an assortment of gauges make sure if something with the engine gets a bit funky, you’ll know about it. Step this monster up to the line, arm the trans-brake, wind up the engine, and blast this rocket down the drag strip at consistent low-10 second passes. Engine: 496 CID V8Transmission: AutomaticMileage: 67 ( since rebuilt )
For sale in our Chicago showroom is this absolutely wild 1979 Chevrolet Malibu. This Malibu is a far cry from the standard grocery-getter that Chevy was stamping out by the thousands. Powering this monster is a 454 big block V8 stroked out to 496 cubic inches backed up to a beefy TH-400 transmission sandwiching a 5000rpm stall converter. The 496 is spinning an Eagle 4340 crankshaft with Eagle H-beam rods topped with SRP 13.5:1 pistons. A pair of Pro Comp Aluminum ported heads round out the long block for a very healthy amount of power on tap. Taking care of getting air and fuel in the engine is a Victor JR intake and a 950 CFM Holley Carburetor. A custom set of Lemons Headers spew the exhaust fumes through a pair of Spintech mufflers for the sound of a beautifully orchestrated chaos. While all of that power makes for killer sound and plenty of tire smoke, there’s more to going fast than just having power; it needs to be effectively put to the pavement. With SPC upper control arms and TRZ lower control arms working in tandem with Qa1 adjustable coil overs, this Malibu grips and rips. A Moser 12-bolt packed fill with 4.10 gears and 30-spline axles resides out back, more than capable of handling the powerplant. A custom frame was fabricated with a 4-link suspension set up to keep the Moser properly located. Making sure the body and frame stay as solid as possible, a 10-point roll cage was installed and painted black to blend in with the gorgeous interior. The two-tone gray paint with the red stripe absolutely pops under the sun. The paint looks deep enough that you could take a dive in it and never come back out. The color scheme is tied through the seats in the interior making for a very complete and well thought out design. The seats were custom redone to match the paint! A switch panel is mounted in the redesigned dash to give the driver total control over all of the electronics of the vehicle, while a master disconnect can set the Malibu in hibernation for any extended downtime. Plenty of custom work is massaged into all aspects of this vehicle, and the hard work really paid off making for an extremely well-finished vehicle. This 1979 Chevrolet Malibu is a very well put together car and should fill your trophy case with ease after only a few shows. Options include: Power Steering, Tilt Steering Wheel, Leather Interior, Kill Switch, Alloy Wheels, and a Posi Traction Rear Axle.
