Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 354 ( undocumented )

Up for sale in the Chicago Showroom of Gateway Classic Cars is a muscular 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. In 1970 the world saw the debut of the Monte Carlo, built on the same A-Platform that underpinned the Grand Prix. Unlike the its Pontiac cousin, Chevrolet gave the Monte Carlo a more muscular appearance borrowing several styling cues from the Chevelle at the time. This particular example is offered in the always timeless Black on Black color scheme. The glossy black exterior is complemented nicely with the large chrome bumpers and Crager SS Wheels gleaming in the sunlight. The car has an aggressive stance that lets the public know the car is as mean as it looks. Inside you’ll find Black Racing Bucket seats and newly upholstered back seat. Turn up the tunes and listen to custom stereo systems or roll down the windows to hear the roar of the dual Flowmaster Exhaust. Under the hood is built Chevy 350 Small Block with a beefed up cam, aluminum heads, headers, a new starter and a 3 core radiator to keep it all cool. This powerhouse is bolted to a 700r4 Transmission with a B&M floor shifter, new stall converter and overdrive cut off switch. All this power is then sent to the rear end to be spun through the 12 bolt rear end with 373 gears. Options include: Air conditioning, AM/FM Radio, CD player, Racing wheels, Power Brakes, Power Steering, and Posi traction. For more information regarding this 70s classic contact the Chicago Showroom at 708-444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. For sale in our Chicago showroom is this untamable 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Nicknamed “The Hammer,” this monster is ready to pound some pavement. Cradling an extensively built 402 big block Chevrolet V8 topped with a healthy 8-71 Weiand supercharger, this Monte Carlo will move. With well over 750rwhp from pump gas, you’ll have all the power you should ever want. In the event it isn’t enough, a few small changes let this beast drink C16 race fuel and pump out and earth-shaking 1200+ horsepower! The whole car is built to the same caliber, with a spragless TH-350 3-speed automatic, GM 12-bolt rear, lightweight brakes, the wildly customized interior, and the general “sinister” look. Welcome to the Thunderdome! The first thing most people notice on this beast is the monstrous twin-intake adorned with a custom cut out displaying the name of the car; “HAMMER.” For the first few seconds of seeing the car, everything else is background noise. Slowly it all starts to fade in: the mirror black paint with candy metallic orange stripes, the leather dash pad with “SS” embroidered, the synthetic leather seats finished with the same orange stitching. This is a beautiful show car that has plenty of go. Many hours of blood sweat, tears a labor of love have gone into the build making this a true top-notch muscle car. This bad dog has the bite to match its bark! Options include: Custom Wheels, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Headlights, Custom Gauges, GPS/Navigation, Racing Slicks, Vinyl/Leather Interior, Brake Lights, Clock, AM/FM/CD player, Aluminum Wheels, Power Windows, and Turn signals. 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 84777 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This is an original, numbers matching 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This first-generation beauty was designed by Chevrolet to be built off the same platform as the Chevelle, which shows it's many similarities, but also introduced many of the luxury designs found in the Cadillac El Dorado. First designed in 1970, these were very well-optioned cars for this era. They did not stray away from the ideas that American cars, while being large and comfortable, should not be lacking in horsepower. This Monte Carlo is built with a 350-cubic inch engine, which is one of the most produced engines to date. The 1972 Monte Carlo was the final year for the first-generation design. In 1972, Chevrolet wanted to change the market position of the Monte Carlo to a personal luxury car, and the manual transmission was discontinued, to which the new car brochure simply stated, "Sorry, no four-on-the-floor." The transmission in this Monte Carlo is the 3-speed automatic. The exterior styling of this Monte is painted yellow. The exterior lines of the Monte Carlo are clean and noticeably uncluttered. Inside, you'll find the same. Simplicity and tranquility. The seats are designed like a good mattress. They leave you feeling comfortable and refreshed, whether you sit in them six minutes, or six hours. Springs and molded foam cushioning are carefully designed to support your back's natural weaknesses. Think of the instrument panel as something European. Where gauges and controls are highly accessible to both hand and eye. The wood grain pattern is Carpathian burled elm, specifically chosen to complement this Monte Carlo's black vinyl. Options include: AM/FM radio, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, vinyl interior, radial tires, seat belts and rally wheels. In 1972, GM’s marketing campaign was, “Chevrolet: Building a Better Way to See the USA.” If you'd like a better way of seeing the USA, make this Monte yours with one phone call!!! In the same year the nation was facing the start of Watergate and the film premiere of “The Godfather”, Chevrolet was producing the first generation of their personal luxury car the Monte Carlo. This car was designed to be the best of all worlds with many options and plenty of performance to move a car of this size down the road. 1982 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Tribute

Engine: 462 V8 Big Block
Transmission: Turbo 400
Mileage: 1965 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom is a nasty 1982 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Clone. The Chevrolet Monte Carlo is a two-door coupé that was produced by Chevrolet through six generations from model year 1970 to model year 2007. This once timid 1982 Monte Carlo has turned into a fire breathing, earth pounding, head turning Super Sport clone with a take no prisoner attitude that is STREET LEGAL!!!! . Pumping life into this beast is a 454 CID V8, .040 over, steel rods, cast crank, Comp hydraulic cam, roller rocker arms, oval port heads, Victor Jr. intake oval port, Holley 950 double pumper carburetor, MSD distributer, MSD 6AL box and blaster 3 coil, Miloden 7 qt oil pan, ARP bolts(head, rod, main), SFI flex plate, Taylor 10mm spark plug wires, chrome alternator, March Billet pulleys, remote oil filter, forged pistons, and a 3500 stall. Phew!!! What's this all mean? Not only 550+ horsepower, but also 535 lb ft of torque are getting cranked out of this incredible Big Block Chevy. This power is then routed through a Turbo 400 transmission, with TCI aluminum trans pan, braided lines, custom transmission cross member, Hurst quarter stick, Hurst roll control, drive shaft loop, and balanced drive shaft. Putting this power to the pavement is a rear end built and assembled by Curry Enterprise, a 9 inch Ford rear end narrowed 2 inches on each side, with Curry 31 spline axles, and a Detroit locker with 3.70 gears. The rear frame rails have been moved in 3 inches and it's been mini-tubbed. Stopping this Chevy isn't a problem with the Wilwood 4 piston calipers in the front and dual piston calipers in the rear. Wilwood vented rotors are in the front and rear as well. While looking underneath, also note the gas shocks all around, Hotchkis upper and lower control arms with tubular lateral links in the rear, and Hotchkis upper A-arms in the front. In the front are F-body spindles, rebuilt lower A-arms and all new steering components including tie rod ends, adjustment sleeves, center link, idler arm, hangers, bushings, sway bar bushings, end link, brake lines and fittings. Temperature is not a problem, the engine is kept cool by a Griffin aluminum radiator, closed radiator panel and TCI 15-1/2 x 10 inch transmission cooler. The exhaust gives this animal the roar it deserves. It all starts with the 2 inch Hooker Super Competition headers and followed up with 3 inch Torque Tech exhaust and 3 inch 2 chamber Flowmaster mufflers. All of this is welded and band clamped, and there's even stainless steel header bolts. If that wasn't enough, all of the exhaust is also powder coated. But that's not all, the undercarriage is a satin black, gloss gray and gloss purple. If you can tear yourself away from looking underneath this Monte, then take a step back and look at the exterior. The body is draped with Toyota Super White paint #040. The engine compartment is even painted with a high gloss black. The custom Burgundy interior has an embroidered head rest and dash. Autometer gauges encompass this interior. The trunk also is custom with a custom fuel cell cover. Under the custom cover is a RCI 16 gallon fuel cell. The fuel is fed by a Holley blue pump with fuel filter. The Weld Prostar aluminum polished wheels are all wrapped with BF Goodrich Radial T/A rubber. Photos and this awesome description simply do not describe how nice this car is. This is a true MUST SEE! 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

Engine: 5.0L V8 4BL OHV
Transmission: 3 Speed Auto
Mileage: 73088 ( undocumented )

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1984 Monte Carlo SS for sale. What is a Monte Carlo SS? It was a package option re issued in 1983 to augment the redesigned Monte Carlo rear wheel drive body. The recession was tough on automakers so it wasn't until the economy showed signs of recovery that we saw the first stirrings of rear wheel drive muscle again. After the Camaro and Firebird got their new identities, it was Monte Carlo's turn. What Chevrolet did was create an aerodynamic nose for NASCAR racing. To homologate the package, marketing came up with an SS coupe to roll out in mid 1983. The Monte Carlo SS came in two colors, dark blue or white. It was a split bench seat car without console shift. That was left on the column as a three speed automatic transmission. You got the F41 firm ride and handling package, door decals, the 305 HO engine with Rochester ModQuadrajet four barrel carb, trunk spoiler, raised white letter Goodyear Eagle GT tires on 15 x7 mag wheels and bragging rights for your neighborhood that Spring. It was a sales hit for Chevy. The early SS Montes used the TH350 transmission with a a midrange 3.42 axle. The 305 used an aluminum intake manifold with Corvette L81 camshaft; this was good for 165 horses. Production total of 1983 Monte Carlo SS was 4,714 cars. For 1984 a full year's production allowed the total to climb to 24,050 cars. Inside it was still a bit tame but with NASCAR racing wins piling up and a genuine battle between Chevy and Ford brewing, sales were good. The '84 edition was a repeat of last year's success with full gauge package plus tach, quick ratio power steering, F41 suspension, black door handles, window reveal moldings and drip rails, anti chip protected lower body, sport mirrors with remote control driver, rally wheels and Eagle GT raised white letter tires, trunk spoiler, door decals, dual exhausts and full courtesy lamps. Inside you still had split bench seats as standard gear but those SS embroidered headrests were a nice touch. These disappeared after 1984. Horsepower went up to 180 this year. Most of the 1984 SS cars got the TH350. Options include: AC, AM/FM radio, power steering, power locks, power seats, tilt wheel, power mirrors, seat belts, Cloth interior, rally wheels, radial tires. 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

Engine: Supercharged 434 CID Stroker V8
Transmission: 700r4 Automatic
Mileage: 50 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Nashville Tennessee showroom is a custom built, one of a kind , 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS . This beast of a Monte Carlo SS for sale is a car you'd see as the lead car in a Fast and Furious movie, driven by a bald A+ lister celebrity, and this build had no expense spared! With sharp edges and a protruding air scoop with a definitive Weiand whine, you may be mistaken for Mad Max as you pull into the show and step out to all of the snapped heads. As a kid, did you always desire to have your own fire breathing dragon? If so, this is your ticket to fulfill those dreams! Fresh off of a full restoration, this '85 Monte Carlo for sale is simply a sight to see. Powering this mammoth muscle bowtie is one monster motor, blueprint and balanced 434 cubic inch small block V8 engine. The list goes on for days with the time, thought, and parts that went into this build. Just a few of the parts used, include: KRH 400 block bored and stroked, KRH ported and polished 210cc heads, Eagle 434 rotating assembly, Mahle forged pistons, custom ground performance cam, Crower Cams hydraulic roller lifters, Scorpion 1.5 roller rockers, custom one piece pushrods, 830CFM Holley double pumper carburetor, Weiand intake and supercharger, Amsoil racing oil, Fel-Pro gaskets, custom serpentine belt set-up, NGK spark plugs, MSD 8.5MM wires, MSD 6AL ignition box, and Milodon performance oil pan. Dyno tested and tuned, this supercharged Monte Carlo for sale runs like a top and drives with the ease of a modern car when you need it and the rowdiness of a drag car when you want it! With supporting modifications like a Be Cool performance radiator and Aeromotive A1000 complete fuel system, this boosted muscle car has been taken care of from every angle. The whine from the supercharger can be heard under acceleration, while the header breathes into a free flowing dual exhaust system with ceramic coated tailpipes. Open the QTP electric cutouts and you have yourself a piece of GM muscle that will shake the windows and bake the tires on command! The power is shifted through a Hughes performance built 700r4 overdrive transmission with B&M transmission cooler. Mated with a 3,000 stall converter and SFI flywheel, this transmission gives you solid launches and shifting, while still offering you efficiency and lower RPMs when cruising thanks to its extra overdrive gear. As the power is transferred through a custom built driveshaft, it then gets placed to the pavement via a Currie Ford 9" rear end with a limited slip, 3.73 geared, nodular third member. With all of this power, one would assume that this car is harder to tame than most. But, this isn't the case, thanks to various suspension modifications done to allow for a fun and comfortable ride. A Hotchkis fully adjustable suspension gives this car a low and menacing stance, while also enhancing this Monte Carlo SS for sales ability to plant all of the power within to the ground! With power steering, this car handles with ease. The car stops on a dime, thanks to SSBC front and rear power disc brakes. The Mickey Thompson drag radials look right at home out back, especially when wrapped around the custom forged 17" Weld Racing rims. Both for form and function, the wheels look just as good as they perform. The exterior looks both smooth, sharp, and sinister thanks to a satin white paint scheme. It appears nostalgic with the original style SS striping, while the custom steel 2" cowl hood with black stripe and red pinstriping lets you know that this 1985 Monte Carlo SS for sale is more than subtle. The black front and rear spoilers add that extra bit of flare that give you an 80s NASCAR throwback vibe. The black sir scoop is dark and mysterious, protruding menacingly from beneath the hood. With all of the custom and built parts both in the drivetrain and exterior, it's refreshing to find a vintage and almost purely stock interior. The only thing that really hints that it isn't factory from the cab, is the custom carbon fiber designed VHX gauges and dash cluster that lights up after the key is pleasantly flicked forward. With dynamat added during the restomod overhaul, this car is cool, comfortable, and pleasantly quiet when wanted, while still allowing for a more than beastly appeal and sound when the cut-outs are opened, the windows are down, and the throttle is hit! 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Aero Coupe

Engine: 350 CID Tuned Port
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 6052 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this gorgeous 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. With only 6052 Super Sport Monte Carlo Aero Coupes built during 1987, this is a one off amazing piece of history. Bought by the current owner 20 years ago, he decided to build this car the way Chevy should have done it! The anemic 5.0L V8 that put out only an anemic 180 Horses to the ground has been discarded. We all tried to convince ourselves, back in the day, that the 305 was awesome, but it’s what you do when you overcompensating for your deficiencies. The replacement is a very healthy 350 CID engine that has bored .030 over the block lined bored, plate honed to insure everything stayed straight during the machining process. The rotating assembly has been balanced, to insure longevity of this power plant, with a set of TRW forged flat top pistons installed and a Crane roller cam (computer friendly cam) to make this a rock solid piece. To allow this engine to breathe properly, a set of Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, held in place by ARP head bolts and Crane Gold roller rockers fro reliability with less resistance. To get plenty of air into the heads, a T.P.I.S. Big Mouth intake with matched big tube runners and BBK throttle body set at op the engine. All GM sensors are new with a new GM Computer. The exhaust is a set of Edelbrock headers, with a.i.r. injection, that have been Jet Hot coated so they will last for the life of the car. From the headers, a Torque Tech 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust system with Walker Super Dyno-Max mufflers. The whole engine compartment including the wiring system has been done to appear factory. The engine is estimated to put out a minimum 360 hp, or twice the original power plant. To handle extra power, the original 200r4 with Art Carr internals and an Art Carr torque Converter. The rear end has been swapped out for a Buick Grand National rear end that has new bearings, posi unit, 3.73 ring & pinion with a set of Moser Street/Strip axles to make the rear end nearly bullet proof. The interior is all original burgundy cloth seats and original dashboard. When you set in the interior, it still looks and smells as good as the day it rolled off the showroom. Outside the car, the vehicle is done in White gloss paint, with pin striping that very closely matches the factory scheme, with difference being on the hood indicating what lies beneath. Before the new white paint was laid down, the car was taken completely apart, including being separated from the frame. The frame was sand blasted, painted in a semi gloss, then all new parts were installed including; new stainless fuel & brake lines, Bell Tech 2 inch front drop spindles, 2 inch Bell-Tech springs in rear w/shocks, NOS GM body bushings. To finish off the look is a set of COYs 5 wheel with gray centers and a polished outer lip. One look under the shows the unmatched detail to attention that has been brought to the whole build of this car. This Monte Carlo has won at Car Shows regularly over the last 10 years and will continue to win shows! Everybody has heard the line, "you couldn't build this car for the price", it is definitely a true statement in this case. This Monte Carlo here is sure to please a crowd at a car show, with its low, throaty rumble upon startup, its tire burning horsepower, and its sleek stylish appearance. Options include Radial tires, A/C, Power brakes, Power steering, AM/FM radio and Power windows.
