Engine: 5.0L V8Transmission: T-5 World ClassMileage: 34000 ( actual )
Even Carroll Shelby himself would be jealous of this very well built 1966 Shelby Cobra replica! This is one of the nicest kit cars you are going to find. If sporting the Ford Royal Blue wasn’t enough to catch your eye the bright white racing stripes surely will. When you look at the fit and finish you will notice it is second to none. Down to the gas struts that aid in supporting both the trunk and hood. This car was not only built to be driven and enjoyed but also has had every effort made to ensure it pays tribute to it’s vintage racing heritage. The fuel injected 5.0 Liter has always had synthetic oil ran through it and boasts 307 dyno proven horsepower. All while averaging 26 miles per gallon so you can have the race car fun and still not break the bank on fuel costs. The T-5 world class manual 5-speed transmission compliments the modern performance of the 306 cubic inch fuel injected V8 very well. Being bolted to an era correct shifter keeps with the feel of this custom roadster. While enjoying the drive modern performance gauges look back at you from the carbon fiber dash. Every diagnostic reading is easily seen at a glance helping you keep your eyes on the road. In addition, there have been some creature comforts added such as cruise control, dual cooling fans, and a very well thought out set of fans that supply heat to the occupants should it be needed on those chilly rides. Black bucket seats fitted with 5-point racing harnesses help keep you comfortable while secure on those winding turns. Koni shock absorbers are tuned and work great with this setup. Not only do the era correct wheels look great but they are 17 inches in diameter to make room for the oversized performance brakes and rotors. If you’ve been in the market for something that drives like a new car but has the looks of an iconic race car this is the one you’ve been waiting for! Engine: 351 Cleveland V8Transmission: 5 Speed ManualMileage: 434 ( actual )
For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is a 1967 AC Cobra Replica. The Shelby Cobra was first made in 1961 when Carroll Shelby wrote to AC Cars, a British automotive company, and asked if they could build him a car with a V8 instead of their V6. Ford supplied the engine, at Carroll Shelby's request, so they could compete with Chevrolet’s Corvette. This Shelby Cobra replica is in impressive condition. The car was built starting with a Shell Valley body and frame kit in 2012. Since then, only 435 miles have been put on the clock. Powering the Cobra is Ford’s venerable 351 Cleveland, mated to a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission. This engine/trans combo makes for a truly enjoyable driving experience at any speed. Behind the excellent powertrain is a Jaguar independent rear suspension, which puts down the power very smoothly. The desirability of the car isn’t limited to what is under the body, however. This Cobra is painted in PPG Top Brand 1994 Viper Blue, a truly striking color when matched to the silver racing stripes. The interior is a done very cleanly, with black carpet and black leather. The radio and CD player is pumped through a sound system that is actually audible while driving this amazing machine. Engine: 393 CIDTransmission: 5 Speed ManualMileage: 3265 ( actual )
John Speed Cobra was shipped from South Africa and was built to look like the vintage race car that of the day! The AC Cobra was the brain child of Carroll Shelby, a legendary race car driver of his day, and always dreamed of the day where he could build sports cars. In the early sixties, the perfect opportunity arose. Carroll Shelby saw the potential in this sleek lined sports car and the rest is history. Due to limited production numbers, most people could not afford to purchase the real deal or even find one for that matter, so a few manufacturers decided to create replicas that look like the real deal for a fraction of the price. This stunning version of a 1967 Cobra was built in 2005 and features a 351 that was built up and punched out to a 393 CID V8 that packs a serious punch. Slotted and crossed drilled disc brakes on all four corners. Independent rear suspension. Hooked up behind the engine is a Tremec 5-Speed transmission that allows excellent drivability and fun! With static cling decals that can be removed without harming the paint. This car was purchased, built, and maintained by the same owner for the last 12 years and only 3,265 miles have been put on it since it was built. When you jump inside, you will feel like you have been transported back to the sixties and are about to set off on the race of your life. The flat dash with simplistic gauge layout allows the drive to carefully monitor what is happening with the car as you are cruising. Once you get out on the open road and start shifting through the gears you will be blown away by the sheer power and agility of a car that was developed and raced 50 years ago. It is an absolute thrill to drive and assures there will never be a dull moment when behind the wheel.
