Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado to its Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! Titled as the first American production car with front wheel drive, the Toronado was ahead of its time thanks to the engineers at GM who utilized the car as a means to convey the latest in technological advances. It had been nearly thirty years since the Cord 812 hit the streets with its unique styling and front wheel drive, a vehicle which Oldsmobile designers heavily studied while fashioning the Toronado. At its debut, the Oldsmobile Toronado featured an array of revolutionary innovations including the heavy-duty Turbo-Hydramatic 400 three-speed automatic transmission and an improved 425 CID V8 topped with a Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor. This particular combination was called the Unitized Power Package (UPP) which endured grueling testing and came out as one of the best built powertrains out of Detroit. This bronze 1966 Toronado features this and so much more! Open the elongated doors with duplicate handles to reveal a handsome interior that fits the whole family! Take note of the futuristic steering wheel and the awesome slot-machine speedometer that vertically rotates as you speed down the highway! There is so much to love about this Oldsmobile that you have to see it in person to truly appreciate its contributions to auto history! Don’t waste another minute looking; pick up the phone and take home Motor Trend’s Car of the Year, the 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado! Gateway Classic Cars has just consigned a really unusual car with this 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado for sale in our Scottsdale showroom. This was the first year for this truly innovative technology that engineers shared between the Oldsmobile and Cadillac divisions to bring FWD to their model line-up. Although this car has an amateur paint job of the original color, Frost Green, it could use a bit of refining to make it look its best. The rest of the car has many new mechanical components like a rebuilt engine and transmission, new steering gear, new battery, alternator, water pump, and more. It's a very reliable driver and was recently driven quite a distance to bring it in to consign. The heat and A/C even work. The green interior is a nice complement to the exterior. Although the car needs some final tinkering to get everything in perfect cosmetic and working order, this classic Olds can be driven reliably now while you work on getting it perfect. These first-gen Toronados are starting to get noticed by collectors and are rising in price because these cars offer unique styling not seen at GM during that time period. Buy this one before they get too expensive. You're guaranteed not to see another one at the local cruise night, but you'll get everyone's attention when you pull up in it. For more information or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Scottsdale showroom at 623-900-4884 or email us directly at email@example.com

For Sale in our Detroit Showroom is a super clean 1986 Oldsmobile Toronado. This extremely low mileage Toronado will bring you back to the late 80’s in style. The final generation Toronado made its debut in 1985 for the 1986 model year. It was even smaller, lost its body-on-frame construction in favor of a unibody platform, and was the first Toronado since 1969 to feature hidden headlights. For the first time ever V8 engines were gone and replaced with the fuel-injected version of the Buick 231 cu in (3.8 L) V6 now the only powerplant available. This powerplant is capable of a long and reliable life and what many would call “bulletproof” powertrain. This Olds has just over 10,000 miles on it, yes that is not a typo, 10,170 miles on the odometer with plenty of life left for you to enjoy. The interior is very welcoming and comfortable. It even still smells new! You can enjoy power options galore and the digital gauges work great. If you are looking for a super nice cruiser that you can enjoy for a while, this one is a great candidate.
