1955 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery

1955 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 11,611 ( since rebuilt )

Now featured in our Denver showroom is this wildly custom 1955 Chevrolet Delivery that is ready to be driven, shown, and enjoyed! There are many custom and tastefully modified touches to this car, but to start we will go immediately to the drivetrain. Both the 350 cubic inch small block V8 and the 700R4 automatic transmission have fresh rebuilds with only 1,000 miles since completion. The 350 is fed by a 600 cfm Edelbrock carb that was put on new when the engine was completed and letting it breathe is a full 2 1/2” exhaust system running the length of the car. To keep it cool even on those hot summer days, an aluminum radiator was installed and a 16” electric fan attached for added performance and reliability. Connected to the rebuilt 700R4 transmission is a Lokar shift for a solid transition between gear selections and a look to match the custom interior. Going all the way to the rear of the car is a Ford 9” rear end equipped with a very streetable 3.73 gear ratio especially with the overdrive gear. Stopping this car is a set of four-wheel power disc brakes and, combined with the Colorado custom wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires, can bring it to a stop in a hurry! Some other options that make it an excellent cruiser include a Vintage Air AC system, power steering, power seats, AM/FM radio with CD player, keyless entry, back up camera, and digital gauges. When you pop the door using your key fob and slide in, you will be impressed with all of the custom touches ranging from subtle to very apparent. The custom seats hug you and are much more comfortable than the stock option. Included in the custom center council is a Pyle touch screen head unit that makes it very easy to see your surroundings when backing up or change the station. There was no expense sparred on this build and it shows everywhere you look. The paint and body work is absolutely stunning; you could spend 20 minutes walking around the car and noticing subtle changes and details that you miss at first glance. If you have been in the market for a tri-5 Chevrolet and want something that is turnkey and will stand out from the rest of the crowd this is an excellent option for you! Engine: LS1

For sale in our Tampa showroom is one of the most iconic cars of all time, a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. This breathtaking 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air has been restomoded to bring the best of the past and the present together. Inside the beautiful engine bay of this Bel Air is an LS1 engine that is connected to a 4L60 Transmission. The LS1 is cooled by an aluminum Griffin radiator and breathes though a short ram air intake. Power steering helps you be able to turn the wheel with nothing more but a finger. The exterior has been laid down in a beautiful two-tone orange and light cream color. You can really tell the time was taken while this automobile was painted. 18 inch Foose wheels fit over the massive brakes and wrap the whole exterior into one amazing package. 1955 Chevrolet 3100

1955 Chevrolet 3100

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 63,489 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is a 1955 Chevrolet 3100. This vehicle is the true definition of a “barn-find” & has been a Texas-truck all its life. The original owner purchased this truck new back in 1955, he then used it on a farm and finally stored it in Carrolton, Tx for many years. The owner sadly passed away in 2016, where the vehicle then became available in an estate sale and was purchased by a restoration shop based out of Hurst, Tx. The shop upgraded a few things but focused on keeping the originality of the truck, examples are the dash and glass on the truck, it’s all believed to be original- some things they did upgrade: Deluxe Vintage Air Conditioning, Powder coated the chassis, Power Brakes, Power Steering, & it appears they added a new woodgrain bed too. The engine is an SBC 350 tied into a TH 350 Auto transmission, which provides plenty of horses, to move this all-steel body around. They’ve also decided to preserve the blood, sweat, and tears experienced with this truck by clear-coating the patina. All this sets on a sweet set of American Racing Wheels. To view this 1955 Chevrolet 3100 in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1955 Chevrolet 3100

1955 Chevrolet 3100

Engine: LS2
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual
Mileage: 3,000 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this very clean 1955 Chevrolet 3100. These classic ’55 pickups are known as the Second Series and were the start of an all new body style that ran from 1955 to 1959. This one is far from original with a complete restoration and shows very well. This beautiful pickup is powered by a LS2 which was rebuilt about 3,000 miles ago. This LS2 has a LS-6 Cam Kit and was rebuilt by G&G Machine. There may be some confusion on the engine due to the 5.7L engine cover, but this was simply due to not being able to find a 6.0L engine cover for it. It’s estimated to be putting out over 400hp meaning this old truck will run against most cars on the street well. This powerhouse is mated to a T-56 6-speed manual transmission with a competition clutch and runs through the gears with ease. The power is driven to the back tires by the Ford 9” Posi rear end and has 3.70 gears for both leisure and performance. The front end is a Fatman Mustang II with stainless upper and lower control arms. To give the truck more flare an IDIDIT chrome steering column was added as well. To make this truck show quality the firewall has been smoothed giving a clean presentation of the engine. This truck also features an aluminum radiator, new doors, stainless 18-gallon fuel tank, new bumpers, new rear fenders and much more. This truck is painted in a mouth watering “Organic Green” which is a House of Kolor Paint. It also has subtle brown colored accents. This Organic Green color swarms the truck from the engine and through the interior as well. Walking around the truck, if you’re not drooling to much you will notice a fresh new Oak bed that has been stained and polyurethane, and a new chrome grille. The interior of this truck is just as clean as the outside. With brown ultra-leather interior, it keeps the color scheme flowing from the inside out. You can monitor the trucks performance through the classic instrument cluster. This truck is a solid mix of classic styling with modern amenities. This truck has been restored in detail and even has square weaved carpet as well. If your looking for a turn key show truck, this is the one for you. The ’55 Bel Air was the start of the “Tri-Five” era that many continue to love today. With several different distinguishing factors in the ’55 ’56 and the ’57 it wasn’t hard to mistake them for one another. This black beauty features a stout ZZ383 Stoker crate motor with around 100 miles on it since the install. This motor is putting out a whopping 425HP @ 5400rpm and 449 ft/lbs torque @ 4500 RPM. The engine also features Fast Burn cylinder heads, 750 CFM carburetor, 1 ¾ long headers with 4” collectors. The compression ratio is set at 9.7:1 on this beauty as well. 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Race Car

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Race Car

Engine: 540 CID Reher-Morrison V8
Transmission: BTE Powerglide
Mileage: 0 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to present this Jerry Bickel-built 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air race car. If you've always wanted a real race car that was built by one of the legends in NHRA racing, but you were afraid to ask, "how much?", we have the car for you. Originally brought to the track by Don Gray Trucking as the "Torture II", with its U.S. Body-supplied '55 Sedan Race Body Shell. Built by Jerry Bickel Race Cars, Inc. in 1995, this is one legend that has stood the test of time and looks better than it did when it was first completed. Smothered in a gorgeous Tangelo Pearl finish, with very subtle flame work that starts on the hood and continues down the front flanks, this is one sweet-looking hot ride. But don't let the looks fool you - this car is one thing, and that's "all business". Sporting a Reher-Morrison 540 CID big block Chevy V8 with its Williams Carburetors-built race carb, backed by a custom BTE Powerglide transmission, this car is set up to let you make fools out of your bracket racing competition. With an air throttle and throttle stop, you can run extremely consistent times. With its 2016 NHRA-certified chassis (s/n A071910) good for 7.50 and slower E/Ts, this car is virtually turn-key ready for the track. From the full tubular chassis and integrated roll cage, to a Dzus fastener-laden body and interior panels, you can tell that this car is built for the track. The snorkel scoop-laden front clip comes completely off, allowing for full access to everything in the engine bay. Whether you need access to steering componentry, the engine, or the front coil-over drag suspension, there's virtually nothing that needs working on that can't be accessed easily. The massive mill is braced by a torque plate at the front, enabling it to become an integral part of the fully reinforced tubular race chassis, with it multiple-link adjustable rear, ensuring that this beast stays straight and true from launch to run-out at the top. The electric water pump, massive aluminum radiator with electric fan, and trans cooler help ensure that everything stays within optimum operating temps during each run. Further equipped with Mark Williams Hi-Torque axles, Lamb multi-piece rotors and Lamb racing calipers, multi-piece Weld Drag wheels at all four corners, Hoosier skinnies up front, massive Hoosier wrinkle wall slicks out back, and wheelie bars, this car says, "get me to the track, baby!" from as far away as you can see it. Under the hood is that gigantic 540 CID Reher-Morrison big block Chevy V8, with its Williams Carburetors carb and custom-fabbed race headers. When this beast lights off, no one will be able to keep from snapping their head toward the noise to see what's causing the thunder. A full competition-approved fuel cell and the twin trunk-mounted Optima batteries are easy to get to by removing the Dzus-fastened trunk, and more Dzus fasteners allow easy access to key driveline components normally covered by the floor pan. A fully adjustable rear spoiler sits atop the aft edge of the deck lid and allows custom tuning of downforce (and therefore ETs). FYI, those dual Optima batteries help ensure that everyone can see your working HID headlights and taillights during those ultra-high-speed night racing runs (in addition to their normal duty, of course). Out back, a purpose-built Mark Williams complete 3rd member setup serves as part of a fully adjustable multi-link rear suspension, with Drag Coil-over shocks and wheelie bar, which serve to keep the rear end planted and the front end out of the sky at launch. Inside, the driver has all controls within easy reach, and fingertip controls make it easy, with the Jerry Bickel wiring setup and control panel being reachable even when the driver is fully belted into the Kirkey racing bucket with the massive Simpson race harness. This race car is ready to hit the strip with no excuses, and is ready for the pit crew between passes, with its abundant Dzus fasteners providing easy on/off of its front clip and trunk. A full set of gauges help the driver keep track of critical functions, and a removable steering wheel helps for easier ingress/egress before and after your hot passes. If you're looking for a turn-key 8 second drag car, this is the one you want. This is a race only vehicle and does not come with a title. For more information on this 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Jerry Bickel race car for sale, please call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220; or email us at "Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com". Transmission: Turbo 350
Mileage: 75,418 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Louisville showroom is this gorgeous 1955 Chevrolet Hard Top Bel Air. The Hard-Top designation comes from the elimination of the post between the front and rear side windows making this a highly desired feature. 1955 was the first year for Chevrolet’s “Shoe Box” body style, which proved to be very successful. The Bel Air was Chevrolet top trim level, featuring more chrome than the 210 or 150 and offered many more desirable options. 1955 Chevrolet Apache

1955 Chevrolet Apache

Engine: 502 CID V8
Transmission: 4-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 75 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer this 1955 Chevrolet Apache for sale. This truck has had very extensive work done to it and is in extremely good condition. All the work has been performed by Ekstensive Metal Works. Ekstensive Metal Works is better known by their TV show name "Texas Metal", which airs on the Velocity channel. Under and through the hood of this super clean truck is a Weiand supercharged 502 CID V8 that runs just as well as it looks. Sending the power to the rear end is a Turbo-400 three-speed transmission. The rear end is a 9" ford that is finished in a gloss black paint. The hood cut-out provides room for the blower and intake to stick through and gives a "shaker hood" feel to the front of the truck. The massive blower provides an intoxicating whine even when sitting at idle and rivals the volume of the already loud exhaust system which features electric cutouts that dump at the headers. Feeding the gigantic 6-71 blower are two Holley four-barrel carburetors that ensure this beauty doesn’t run out of fuel to burn when under full boost. The fuel is sent to the engine via a polished new fuel tank that enhances the underbody of the truck. Setting the stance of the truck are adjustable coil-over shocks. The truck sits atop polished alloy Intro brand wheels wrapped in Pirelli performance tires. The front tires are 265/30 ZR22 and the rears are 405/25 ZR24. To put the rear tire size into perspective, the widest tires on a production car are on a Lamborghini Aventador SV... and they're only 355mm wide. When it comes time to stop those massive tires, the driver will appreciate the drilled and slotted Willwood front and rear disc brakes with black painted calipers. Moving outward, the exterior of this truck is in near perfect condition. All the chrome is very nice and in like new condition. The Sierra Sand colored paint is in excellent shape with almost no blemishes or imperfections. The bed wood has been replaced and is in very good condition as well with a deep stain to accent the bed from the paint. Overall, the exterior of this truck is almost perfect. Moving inward, getting into the truck is made classy by the suicide doors. Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will be greeted by light tan leather throughout and a tilt steering wheel. The doors feature a simple, yet elegant stitching pattern that reminds the driver that they're in a very well-built resto-mod. The leather bucket seats are very comfortable and spacious. Sitting between the two seats is a leather wrapped center console that houses the shifter. The dash of the truck is paint matched to the body and is in just as good condition. This truck also features power brakes and steering for comfortable cruising. Tucked in the dash is a modern CD player/radio that adds to the modern comfort of this beauty. Overall, this is an extremely well-done truck and is probably one of the finest examples of a resto-mod Chevrolet Apache around.
