1963 Buick Riviera

Engine: 401 V8
Transmission: 2 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 77,565 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa Is proud to offer this sharp 1963 Buick Riviera. This car still has the numbers matching engine and transmission with only 78k miles! The Buick Riviera is a personal luxury car produced by Buick from 1963 to 1999. GM's first entry into that prestige niche, the Riviera was highly praised by automotive journalists upon its high-profile debut. While early models stayed close to the original form, eight subsequent generations varied substantially over the Riviera's thirty-year lifespan. In all, 1,127,261 were produced. This Buick was repainted about 2 years ago but kept the factory color. The Burgundy paint, chrome accent pieces, and glass is all still in great condition and looks as it has been redone. The style of this era’s body style is top notch and has tons of potential to become whatever you can dream up or even keep it as it sits and enjoy the history. When you hop into this Buick you instantly notice the like new brown leather interior. The styling of the dash and shifter area brings out the luxury feel while cruising down the street in this sharp car. It shared the standard Buick V8 engines, with a displacement of either 401 cu in (6.57 L) or 425 cu in (6.96 l), and the unique continuously variable design twin turbine automatic transmission. Power brakes were standard, using Buick's massive "Al-Fin" (aluminum finned) drums of 12 in (300 mm) diameter. Power steering was standard equipment, with an overall steering ratio of 20.5:1, giving 3.5 turns lock-to-lock. The production Riviera was introduced on October 4, 1962, as a 1963 model, Its distinctive bodyshell was unique to the marque, unusual for a GM product. It rode a cruciform frame similar to the standard Buick frame, but shorter and narrower, with a 2.0 in narrower track. Its wheelbase of 117 in and overall length of 208 in were 6.0 inches and 7.7 in shorter, respectively, than a Buick LeSabre, but slightly longer than a contemporary Thunderbird. At 3,998 lb, it was about 390 pounds lighter than either. This First Generation Riviera has been well maintained and is ready to be taken out and shown off to the world. 1985 Cadillac Eldorado

1985 Cadillac Eldorado

Engine: 4.1L V8 F OHV
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 39,888 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa Is excited to offer this sharp 1985 Cadillac Eldorado. This 2 owner car scores off the charts on the history report and has been in Florida its whole life with under 40k actual documented miles. This 1985 Cadillac Eldorado is very well maintained inside and out. The gray paint still shines in the sun like it did back in the mid 80’s. The Gray on gray with black vinyl top has always caught attention when cruising down the street and even more now that they are harder and harder to find in this condition. This car has the numbers matching original 4.1 Liter V8 and 4-speed w/electronic overdrive with low miles documented. For its time, the engine and its electronic control module (ECM) were quite sophisticated, despite having a throttle-body fuel injection system (as opposed to more advanced multiport fuel injection). Like the 6.0/368" DFI engines before it, the HT4100 used an ECM that incorporated a detailed on-board computer. Every parameter of engine performance could be displayed on the Electronic Climate Control panel while the car was being driven. The HT4100 also adopted other modern design features including replaceable cylinder sleeves, high operating temperature for emission control (210 degrees, compared to 180 in earlier engines), free circulation of coolant between the block and the heads, and bimetal construction that mounted heat-tolerant cast-iron heads onto a weight-saving aluminum block. The engine had a bore of 3.465 in (88.0 mm) and stroke of 3.307 in (84.0 mm), for a total displacement of 4.1 L (250 cu in). It produced 135 hp (101 kW) at 4400 rpm and 190 lbf·ft (260 N·m) of torque at 2000 rpm. The 1985 model year is the last year of the sought after 8th generation Eldorado before switching to a whole new styling in 1986. This square luxury car is still to this day stands out from a crowd with its stylish appearance. Options on this Eldorado include; A/C, AM/FM Radio, Cruise control, Wire wheel hub caps, power brakes and steering, power locks and windows, tilt wheel, comfortable gray cloth power adjustable seats, and radial tires. If you are looking for that perfect mix of classic car luxury and modern features without breaking the bank, then this is the car for you. 1964 Mercury Comet

1964 Mercury Comet

Engine: 302 V8
Transmission: 5 Speed Manual
Mileage: 67,478 ( since rebuilt )

For sale in our Tampa showroom is this awesome 1964 Mercury Comet. This beast is powered by a Ford 302 V8 Engine that includes a holly carb, MSD ignition and ford racing valve covers. It’s even got hood pins to keep the beast behind closed doors. Don’t be fooled by the 4-speed shift knob as this Comet has a 5-speed transmission that turns 3.08 posi traction gears. This Mercury is set up to handle great with a new front coil spring suspension. The white exterior is complemented greatly by the chrome Riddler wheels that really gleam in the sunlight. The interior is stitched up in an awesome black and burgundy combination that makes the inside as much of a head turner as the outside of the vehicle. Don’t worry about keeping cool as this Comet has a new vintage air system. The odometer is only showing 67,478 miles. This body style comet has a lot of history behind it starting in 1964 the Comet was redesigned with a much more square shape, though it was still built on the same unibody as the 1963 model. Its basic lines were shared with the new Falcon, but the front grille used styling similar to that of the Lincoln Continental. Along with the redesign, the model designations were changed. The performance version was known as the Cyclone, replacing the previous S-22. Then in descending order of trim levels were the Caliente, 404 and 202, replacing the previous Custom and base models. The 2-door station wagon body style was discontinued. The top-of-the-line station wagon continued to be known as the Villager. The base 144 cid six engine was dropped and the 170 cid six became the new base engine. The 260 V8 was available at the beginning of the production run, with the new 289 being available mid-year. Due to the success of the full size Ford and Mercury "fastback" roofline introduced in mid-1963, the Falcon and Comet 2-door hardtops got a similar roofline with sharper corners. These vehicles really helped pave the way for the muscle car era that was about to begin in the United States of America. 1990 Oldsmobile Toronado

1990 Oldsmobile Toronado

Engine: 3.8L V6 F
Transmission: 4 Speed Automatic with Electric Overdrive
Mileage: 62,131 ( actual )

For sale in our Tampa showroom is this time capsule of a 1990 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo. A little background on this vehicle. in mid-1987, Oldsmobile attempted to bolster sagging Toronado sales by introducing a sportier model called the Troféo, which boasted standard leather bucket seats, faux dual exhaust, more-aggressive styling, and a stiffer suspension (the highly regarded corporate FE3 package, with retuned shocks, struts and other components). The 1989 Troféo, which was no longer badged externally as a Toronado, could be ordered with the Visual Information Center: a dash mounted touch-screen CRT that controlled the vehicle's thermostat and radio and also supplied advanced instrumentation such as a trip computer. The VIC could also serve as the interface to an in-car hands-free cell phone. Troféo also received standard anti-lock brakes and a new steering wheel that featured buttons for radio and climate controls. Toronados now had standard bucket seats with console, although the split-bench seat was still offered as an option. 1990 saw Oldsmobile literally and figuratively going to great lengths to revive Toronado and Troféo sales. The hood was the only carry over sheet metal as Olds designers completely redesigned the body, particularly in the rear, increasing the overall length by about 12 in (305 mm). This 1990 Oldsmobile Toronado Trofeo has the original burgundy paint and matching interior. Powered by the 3800 V6 this Olds is ready to take you down the road with only 62,131 miles. This Oldsmobile is a survivor car that is mostly original. Recently this Oldsmobile has had a new A/C system and a new brakes system installed. Options on this cruiser include AM/FM radio, cruise control, hub caps, lumbar support, power brakes, power steering, power locks, jack and spare tire, power seats, power windows, anti lock brakes, tilt wheel, traction control, keyless entry, power mirrors, driver airbag, anti theft system, leather interior, radial tires and rally wheels.
