1963 Ford Galaxie

1963 Ford Galaxie

Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 2,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is proud to offer this gorgeous metallic ruby 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 for sale. Bathed in a lustrous, glowing House of Kolors red that seems to change colors from every angle, it literally looks like a metallic ruby when viewed in the sunlight. The exterior chrome trim around the windows is in excellent shape, and the rest of the chrome trim looks good, too. Open the hood, and you'll note that the engine bay is finished in the same red and is loaded with chrome. From the hood hinges, to the radiator reservoir, alternator, power brake booster and master cylinder, valve covers and air cleaner, this baby sparkles. The big 390 CID V8 lurks menacingly in its lair - fitted with coated Hedman headers and topped with an aluminum Edelbrock manifold and Edelbrock 4BBL carb, you know this is no mild grocery getter's mill. With only about 2000 miles on the engine since it was rebuilt, it's barely broken in. Backed by a Ford 3-speed automatic that sends the power to the 3.05:1 gearset in the Ford 9-inch rear, this is one sturdy and potent drivetrain. A massive aluminum radiator with twin electric pusher fans (aided by the factory fan) helps keep the big block cool while you're motoring around town. Moving to the inside, you'll notice the Vintage Ford-logoed AC, and some cool custom touches, like custom Mother of Pearl steering wheel and the Oyster shell-topped switchgear on the dash and radio's control knobs. A Sunpro gauge pack helps the driver monitor the powertrain's vitals, with the rest of the factory gauges intact, as well. The sweet champagne beige and oyster-colored synthetic leather seating is in great shape, and the carpet looks brand new. Settle into the driver's seat, fire it up, and listen to the baritone burble of the big 390 as it settles into a lopey idle, sending its exhaust out the big dual exhaust, its DynoMax mufflers both quieting and enhancing the muscle car sound. Pull the gear lever into drive and rumble off to your next horizon. If, during your motoring escapade you should choose to see what this baby will do, the power brakes have the added benefit of discs up front, complete with drilled rotors; so stopping happens much more quickly than it ever could've with the original brake setup. The aluminum American Racing 5-spoke wheels provide additional good looks, and better airflow to the brakes, too. Additional options on this 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 for sale include Air Conditioning, Aluminum Alloy wheels, AM Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Synthetic Leather seating. For more information on this 1963 Ford Galaxie 500, please call the Houston showroom at (832) 243-6220; or email us at "Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com". 1975 Lincoln Continental Mark IV

Engine: 460 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 5,933 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this 1975 Lincoln Mark IV. As the successor of the Mark III, Ford Motor Company chose an evolutionary design path for the Mark IV. Ford designers again using sharp-edged fenders, hidden headlamps, and a tall radiator-style grille, the Continental Mark IV retained the traditional "long-hood, short deck" coupe proportions of the Mark III along with its "Continental spare tire" decklid. This Mark IV is shown in its original Aqua blue paint called “diamond fire”. The cars exterior finish is pristine and shows looks awesome in the sunshine. The blue vinyl top is also in fantastic condition. It features the popular 460 CID V8 that is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Both drive train components run very well with no issues. The car rides like it’s on a cloud and is a pleasure to drive. All accessories on the car work as they should. All weather seals are in great condition, including the glass it surrounds. The exterior trim, bumpers, light lenses, & more are all in very nice condition. Looking towards the interior the plush leather seats & door panels, carpet, headliner, & seatbelts are all in excellent condition. On the dash, you will find all working Cartier gauges on this signature Mark IV. The car sits on its original Lincoln hub caps wrapped in Michelin tires with plenty of tread on them left. The Mark IV’s engine compartment & trunk are also in great condition, it looks as if this car has been indoors its entire life! Other notable features include; AC (blows cold!), AM/FM radio, cruise control, power brakes, power steering, power locks, power seats, power windows, tilt steering wheel, leather interior, & white wall tires. This Mark IV is in excellent condition and would be a great addition to a collection or to use as a daily driver! 1963 Ford Falcon

1963 Ford Falcon

Engine: Inline 6
Transmission: 2 Speed Automatic
Mileage: 4,814 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this awesome Ford Falcon from 1963. This was the final year for the first generation of the North American Falcon. This Falcon is powered by the inline 6 cylinder Mileage Maker engine that Ford designed to achieve a staggering 30mpg! The Falcon went on to be the basis for which the legendary Mustang was based. The Falcon Sprint was a limited production version of the Falcon which was nearly mechanically identical to the 1964 ½ Mustang. With a length of 181 inches and a wheelbase of 109.5, the Falcon was one of Ford’s smaller vehicles. Construction was unibody and suspension was fairly standard with coil springs in the front and lead springs in the rear. Brakes were drums all around and a the two-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission was an additional option from the 3-speed manual that was the base transmission. The market shift which spurred the development of the Falcon and it’s competitors also precipitated the demise of several well-established marques in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Edsel, Nash, Hudson, DeSoto and Packard nameplates all disappeared from the marketplace. Robert McNamara, a Ford executive who became Ford's president briefly before being offered the job of U.S. Defense Secretary, is regarded by many as "the father of the Falcon". McNamara left Ford shortly after the Falcon's introduction, but his faith in the concept was vindicated with record sales; over half a million sold in the first year and over a million sold by the end of the second year. This is a survivor car and should be appreciated as such. It hasn’t been modernized like many have been. You will find an AM radio, hub caps and radial tires. You will be pleased to know that the headlights, brights, turn signals, parking lights, reverse lights, wipers, brake lights, gauges, radio, heat and horn all work! This 1963 Ford Falcon is for sale in our Houston Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (832) 243-6200 or email us at Houston@GatewayClassicCars.com.
