If there is one thing most Trans Am admirers can agree upon, it is the disappointing output of the third generation’s 305 and 350 TBI/TPI motors. However, our newest arrival here at the Dallas Gateway Classic Car showroom has rectified this common complaint. This beautiful example of a 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA will not only have you floored in the visual department, but will exceed your performance expectations as well. A complete powertrain swap to a LQ4 6.0 V8 and 4L80E transmission from the boat-anchored 350 TPI she came with was performed by Larry’s Speed & Custom of Fort Worth approximately 3000 miles ago. No expense was spared in completing this build, and all necessary swap components were employed. Custom wiring harness, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, Walboro 255 LPH fuel pump, Holley EFI fuel rails paired with an LS1 intake, billet coil brackets, LSSimple alternator kit, BMR adjustable torque arm, and BRP headers with muffler delete. Hawks motor mounts and a Blackheart transmission crossmember keep the new powertrain properly supported while you dust Vette-after-Vette. New calipers hugging drilled and slotted rotors insure a positive and pulse-free stop. Additionally, the interior was upgraded to a custom, yet tastefully-upgraded upholstery. The body of this GTA has only 82,688 miles, so this bird’s skeleton was a great candidate for this impressive and popular swap. For more HD pictures and video, visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a beautiful 1989 Bentley Mulsanne S. The Mulsanne was Bentleys performance luxury vehicle of the 1980s and early 1990s. The name derives from motorsport and refers to the Mulsanne Straight, a section of the race course at Le Mans which is famous for being an exceptionally fast section. Bentley does after all have a nice history at Le Mans; between 1924 and 1930 they tallied 5 victories. This particular Mulsanne is a lovely example sporting a jet-black exterior with lush camel colored interior. The Mulsanne has a stately exterior appearance with a pronounced front grill to announce it’s presence. The nice thin about Bentleys is the body style changes very little other the years. Because of this, the ’89 Mulsanne still appears current and does not look dated. The interior is swimming with quality materials including miles of leather and plenty of woodgrain. With only 85,280 miles on the odometer, the car has held up extremely well. It’s clearly been treated as a member of the family as the interior is clean and the exterior still retains a deep shine. Under the hood is a massive 6.75 Liter V8 which is known for it’s torque. These cars have stump pulling torque which will swiftly transport you and your passengers away in speed and style. Whether you’re driving, or being driven, the interior of a Bentley is always a great space to be. You can see this beautiful 1989 Bentley Mulsanne S in greater detail at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Available now in our Dallas/Ft Worth Showroom is this impressive 1967 Ford Galaxie! Period advertisements boasted that the Ford Galaxie 500 was quieter than a Rolls-Royce, which was their way of boasting about how well the engineers had done in isolating the new frame from the new body. The reasons for this were practical enough, it was the first year since 1956 that the Ford and Mercury full-sized cars again shared their essential architecture, basic frame and basic body structures (with variations), in a bid to increase profitability. The 1967 version of the Galaxie was reskinned, which produced new two-door hardtop/fastback rooflines. The LTD variant now shared the two-door roofline, but the rear side glass shape was altered for a more formal appearance, and technically speaking, LTD became a series of its own this year. This Ford Galaxie underwent a full restoration in 2008, at this time the motor was rebuilt along with the transmission too. The black and red interior, including matching dash, really stands out. Especially with the word “Galaxie” stitched on both the passenger and driver side bench seat and “Ford” in the backseat. It is also equipped with a set of Boston-acoustic speakers. Which can really help you hear the tunes as you’re flying around in this vehicle, windows down and wind in your hair. What is it that’s creating that wind? No folks, that’s not just a 390 decal on the side, that’s what this bad boy comes with, a rebuilt 390CID-315HP 4BBL, with a 4-speed manual transmission. No question, it was made to get you where you’re going in a hurry. Finally, all this is riding around on a quality set of American Racing Wheels. Now available in our DFW-Showroom is this impressive 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle. The 1971 Chevelle’s were treated to new front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper. Because SS models suffered heavy insurance surcharges, Chevrolet introduced the "Heavy Chevy" at midyear, which was based on the base Chevelle, and was available with any V8 engine except the 454, which was exclusive to SS models. The Heavy Chevy was only available with the base Chevelle sport coupe and was primarily a dress up option and even it was limited to options available on the standard Chevelle sport coupe; vinyl carpeting, front bench seat, no center console shift, etc. Both 350 V8 engines, as well as the dual exhaust 402 cid V8 engine, were available without the SS option; only the LS5 454 V8 required the SS option. This sweet Chevelle, has a Cowl Induction hood, which allows the 350-V8 to consume plenty of air and breaths well as you’re cruising your local strip or getting on it from stop light to stop light! Also, the headers on the 350-V8 are going to be well preserved, since being dipped in ceramic coating and this 350-V8 connects to an Automatic Turbo 350 transmission. This is all tied in by a classy Mulsanne Blue paint job and Sandalwood White interior, which is completed even further by a set of custom Billet Specialties wheels! This ride also comes with vintage air already installed and ready to go! Other options included: Power Brakes, Front disc brakes, Power Steering, Dual Exhaust, Retro sound Bluetooth, & Am/Fm radio. This Chevelle is going to make some new owner very happy, very soon… Will this be you? Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a very cool 1979 Chevrolet Nova. Though it started just a plain jane Nova with a 6 cylinder engine, it has come a long way. The result is a freshly built V8 Nova with a really nice clean look. The car has only traveled about 2,000 miles since receiving it’s V8 power plant and is begging to be driven more. This beautifully restored 1969 Ford Bronco, finish in its original color (Royal Maroon single stage paint), is in our Dallas showroom and ready for sale. Built as a direct competitor to the International Scout, the original Ford Bronco was initially offered in three cab types: a wagon, a pickup, and an open model with cut-out filler panels instead of doors, to come off something as a big CJ-5. This example is the open model with cut-out filler panels and is definitely an eye catcher. Believed to be the original standard 3-speed with 302 engine. During restoration, additions included a Comp 268 cam kit, including lifters, valve springs, retainers, keepers, timing gear/chain set, new water pump, and Melling high volume oil pump. Also added were a Edelbrock 600 cfm 4 barrel carb, an aluminum intake, new Hedman headers, along with a matching dual exhaust system. The differentials are 3.50 ratio with the rear being a 9” traction locking hubs, front Dana 30. New brake shoes, shocks, and steering stabilizers. This vehicle has its original seats and they are in very nice condition. During restoration, there was extensive metal replacement work performed (floor pans, rocker panels, hood) in the typical rust areas for these vehicles. Up for sale in our Dallas showroom is one sweet, and original ride, the 1956 Ford Victoria. Built for the sole purpose to compete in a declining market being dominated by the Chevrolet Bel Air, Ford sat down to design something new. By changing the outside appearance slightly, and increasing technology by adding in a new 12 volt ignition system, the new Ford line began to bring something back to the market that most manufacturers couldn't do. During the 1956 model year, Ford had also introduced a larger 4-door version called the "Town Victoria" to incorporate the need for more passengers and longer drives. Also introduced during this change was the conversion from the old Flathead V8 to the new 312 Y-Block engine, built to be stronger, and more reliable than the original style. Mated up to this engine is the classic 2-speed automatic, which makes driving an absolute ease, just drop the shifter into Drive, and enjoy the ride. Of course this engine had been recently rebuilt only 17,661 miles ago. The interior was very tastefully restored in a beautiful orange and white vinyl bench seat, which matches the overall look of the vehicle, including the very stylish but simple dashboard. The exterior is as straight and beautiful as the interior, also painted to match the interior, a beautiful Orange and White two-tone paint job with the perfect splash of chrome throughout. To complete the look the 1956 Victoria comes equipped with wire hubcaps, wrapped in a beautiful set of wide what wall tires. The Ford Victoria is a beautiful car through and through, and as designed, this car makes for a solid daily driver! Options include AM Radio, Hub Caps, Power Steering, Vinyl Interior, Wide White Walls, Radial Tires and a recently restored 312 CID V8! Engine: Supercharged 5.8L V8Transmission: 6 Speed ManualMileage: 1,086 ( actual )
Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to offer a bad to the bone 2014 Ford Mustang GT500. New for the 2013 model year, was a first for Ford: a 200+ MPH Mustang. These GT500s compete with exotics 5 times the price and are as simple to maintain as your F150 or Focus. Pop the hood to find a 5.8 Liter Supercharged V8 which churns out an asphalt shredding 662 Horsepower. With all of this power, in 5th gear, the car can achieve 202 MPH; if you’re brave enough to go there. To handle all of this power, it has a beefy Tremec TR-6060 and a heavy duty dual disc cutch. To save weight, rotating mass, and increase strength, the driveshaft is made of carbon fiber. Handling was not forgotten on this powerful beast. Bilstein shocks, and Goodyear Eagle Supercar G:2 tires keep the machine attached to the road even in the tightest corners. Massive Brembo brakes in all four corners bring everything to a halt including 15” front rotors with 6 piston calipers. This particular example, is almost like looking at a new one. With only 1,086 miles on the odometer, it is hardly broken in. With black exterior and black and red two tone interior, it looks fantastic, and is certainly show ready.
