1966 Dodge Charger
S O L D

1966 Dodge Charger

Engine: 318 V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Auto
Mileage: 5,722 ( undocumented )

Take a step back to the mid-1960’s, when muscle cars were really coming of age with this beautiful 1966 Dodge Charger. This Indigo blue Charger packs a 318 wide poly block engine topped with a rare 2-4 barrel manifold with 2 AFB carbs, cam lift 450” Duration 272d, coupled to a 727 automatic transmission and TTI headers. You will love the power brakes, power steering, 15 X 7 Super Supreme mags and the molded hood scoop. The blue leather interior is all original and very clean! During the early-1960s, automakers were exploring new ideas in the personal luxury and specialty car segments. Chrysler, fast to enter the specialty car market, selected their Dodge Division to enter the marketplace with a mid-size B-bodied sporty car to fit between the "pony car" Ford Mustang and "personal luxury" Ford Thunderbird. The intention was to create a fastback look while sharing as much existing company hardware as possible. The Coronet-based Charger that resulted was introduced in mid-season of the 1966 model year in retaliation to the Rambler Marlin, Ford Mustang, and Plymouth Barracuda. Style-wise it was a complete departure from the Dodge's mainstream cars. The 1965 Marlin, along with the Charger that arrived during the 1966 model year, were the two cars set the standard for radical fastback design in American mid-size automobiles because it was an intermediate like the Rambler Marlin, the Charger could have been an aesthetic disaster, but long side windows prevented its sweeping roof from looking too heavy. This beautiful 1966 Charger is for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com; call (262) 891-4253 or email us at milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com for additional information.

1931 Chevrolet Sedan

Engine: V-8 Small Block
Transmission: 3-Speed Auto
Mileage: 72,623 ( undocumented )

Grab everyone's attention this Summer with this 1931 Chevy Sedan. The Chevrolet Series AE Independence was manufactured by Chevrolet in 1931 to replace the 1930 Series AD Universal. Production levels slipped during the Great Depression to 619,554 units, but Chevrolet actually outpaced rival Ford in 1931! The main change between the Series AE and the outgoing AD was a 2-inch longer wheelbase, now at 109”. It remained powered by the “Stovebolt Six” 194 cid inline 6-cylinder engine producing 50hp. This classic 1931 four-door sedan ups that ante with a 350 cubic-inch V8 mated to a Mustang II automatic, Mustang front-end suspension and 373 Posi rear end. The 350 power plant sports a polished aluminum intake & air cleaner, Accel distributor, dual exhaust and stainless gas tank. Additional features include manual rack & pinion steering, power brakes, attractive wire wheels and AM/FM/CB Radio. This is an older build with lots of chrome accessories, and could be driven as is or form a solid base to personally upgrade. This is a steel body car with fiberglass fenders. The 1931 Chevrolet hot rod is located at our Milwaukee showroom. This 1931 Chevrolet Sedan is for sale in our Milwaukee Showroom and can be seen at www.GatewayClassicCars.com, call us at (262) 891-4253 or email us at milwaukee@gatewayclassiccars.com for additional information.

This time capsule would be a great starting point for a full restoration or enjoyed as is. Included are wonderful bits of documentation such as the owner’s manual and lubrication chart. The Buick Roadmaster traces its roots back to the 1931-33 Buick “Series 80” upper level trim package for their long wheelbase model. In 1936, the “Series 80 Roadmaster” was introduced to celebrate the engineering improvements and design advancements over the 1935 models. The valve-in-head straight-eight engines were updated and a big 320cid ,120 hp beast was the top of the line. In 1937, a new carburetor and revised camshaft raised this figure to 130 hp. The engine also received a new intake manifold, oil pump and cooling system. The transmission is a 3-speed sliding shift manual. Styling updates included a divided grille with horizontal bars and a center section painted to match the body of the car.
