Up for sale in our Atlanta showroom straight from “Little House on the Prairie” is a 1927 Ford Model T one-ton pickup truck and in the words of Henry Ford himself “You can have it any color you want, as long as its black” and it’s black. The work horse of the roaring twenties, this truck was equally famous for hauling hay and farm supplies as it was for hauling whiskey to the speakeasy. 1927 was the final year for the Model T, or Model TT as it was classified, then replaced with the Model AA for hauling more whiskey or hay, you chose. Now used for parades and shows, this Model T now leads a life leisure. This Model T for sale has had a full engine and transmission rebuild with only 150 miles since the re-build. All records and receipts are available for the work done. Lovingly restored and cared for by the current owner since 1998, this is the granddaddy of all pickup trucks. Engine: 313 CID Straight 6Transmission: 4-Speed AutomaticMileage: 99999 ( undocumented )
There it is a 1939 Chevrolet Custom Truck and Trailer combo that is now for sale in our Houston Showroom. This truck is what we can call custom, and does not have any hard time winning trophies at any car show you choose to take it to. This truck is powered by a strong 313 CID Inline 6 which is plenty of power for this light weight beauty. The transmission the is paired up with the engine is a Ford C4 with a “Lokar” shifter. Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt by Owens Race Engine in Pearland. At a quick glance, it would be hard to determine this is a Chevrolet being it has a grill from a 1937 Hudson Terraplane, headlights from a ’30 Hudson, and taillights from a ’59 Cadillac Ambulance. Each time you look at this truck you will find something new or interesting, which was the intention of the truck as it climbed to the top of the competition at several previous car shows. The Carb intake is a Zenith TIN40 from a ’71 Porsche 911-T with Velocity Stacks. The 4-barrel intake is a Ford 300 Offenhauser with a Holly 570 “Street Avenger” mounted on top. The parts on this truck is like a time capsule ranging from parts dated back to the early 1900’s all the way up to the 90’s. What truly makes this truck an American classic is the WWII pieces that have been installed such as the brass hood and trunk handles from vintage WWII naval electric conduit clips, Zoomie heat shield from WWII zero recoil artillery shell casings, and the overhead switches from a B-29 Bomber. As you work your way down on this piece of history you see the truck and trailer both sit on OEM wheels from a ’41 Ford. The tires are in great shape and made by Diamond Back with Michelin rear cases. The trailer that comes with this truck is a ’36 Mullins which were only made in ’36-’37 in turn making this deal just that much sweeter. The interior is a tan color and in great condition, you will notice everything from the floors, carpet, and headliner are all in great shape. The interior keeps the flow going with the customization's it has as well such as the vintage faucets used for the dash switches. Engine: 350 CID V8Transmission: TH400Mileage: 128 ( undocumented )
Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this awesome Custom 1941 Ford Pick-up. The 40 and 41 Ford truck line was really a whole fresh look as with all the Fords of that time. This 41 has had extensive work done turning it into the modern driver it is today. The cab and front fenders are all steel just like the way Henry Ford made them. The bed is a step up from your normal wood bed that’s been done a million times. The polished stainless is a statement piece to say the least and a unique touch that separates it from the crowd. The polished Billet Boyd wheels look and fit the truck perfectly while showing off the 4-wheel disc brake set-up. The smoothed roll pan and color matched grill complete the exterior touches on this beauty. Though the tailgate may say Ford under the hood a different story is being told. The crate engine, with A HP rating of 290, is a Chevy small block. Naturally a TH400 is backing it up making this little red Ford a Chevy at heart. The rear end, since they do them so well, is a Ford 9 Inch stuffed with a set 3.55 gears. Underneath is where this truck will open your eyes. The front end is composed of a Fatman Mustang II style giving the truck a completely different handling and ride character. The 4-link set up takes care of the rear and completes the driveline of this excellent Street rod. The interior looks like it could have been pulled out of a BMW or Mercedes with the tan leather wrapping basically everything you see you almost forget you’re in a truck. The Ididit steering column adds the tilt steering wheel and gives the interior a highly needed upgrade. If you have wanted one of these old trucks but want the ability to enjoy it on today’s higher paced roads this is the perfect pick. Options on this 41 Ford pickup include; AM/FM/CD, Power Windows, Power Steering, Leather Interior, Aluminum Wheels and Radial Tires.
