About our St. Louis Showroom
The St. Louis location first opened in February of 1999. This is our first location and where the company originated. In fact, our name Gateway Classic Cars reflects the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. Our original location was in Fairmont City, IL. In March of 2014, we moved this headquarters location to O'Fallon, IL.
Gateway Classic Cars is proud to be a part of the St Louis metropolitan area. Rich in history, St Louis is a city that offers a wide variety of culture and activities for businesses and families to enjoy. The area offers many world famous attractions for residents and visitors alike.
For the Sports enthusiast in the St Louis area there are many options. Whether you are a baseball, football, or hockey fan St Louis offers all options. St Louis has the Rams Football team , the Cardinals Baseball Team and the Blues Hockey team, as well as The River City Rascals Baseball Team. On the Illinois side of the Mississippi is The Gateway Grizzlies Baseball team. So for the sports enthusiast there are always sporting events happening in the St Louis area.
St Louis also offers the world class Missouri Botanical garden and research facility. The Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis was founded in 1859 by Henry Shaw. Today, 154 years after opening, the Garden is a National Historic Landmark and a center for science, conservation, education and horticultural display. It is considered one of the top three botanical gardens in the world.
Two hundred years ago, Lewis and Clark set out on their great journey. Today the St Louis Gateway Arch stands as the monument to the westward expansion of the United States. It takes you 630 feet in the air overlooking the great Mississippi River and the city of St Louis. On a clear day you can see 30 miles in any direction.
The St Louis Zoo is home to more than 19,000 exotic animals. Many of the animals are rare or endangered. More than 600 species represent the major continents and biomes of the world. The St Louis Zoo is located in the rolling hills, lakes and glades of Forest Park. The St Louis Zoo is rated one of the top zoos in the United States and is free to the public.
Forest Park in St Louis offers so much more than just the St Louis Zoo. It is larger in size than Central Park In NY. Forest Park is home to St. Louis Art Museum, Missouri History Museum, and the St. Louis Science Center, all of which are free to the public. The Municipal Opera (aka the Muny), which hosts touring musical productions through the summer months, is also in the park.
For beer enthusiasts, Anheuser-Busch was founded here in 1879 and has since been a strong influence in the community. Grant's Farm, formerly the home of Ulysses Grant, and currently the Busch family's estate, is home to 900 animals and more than 100 different species. You can tour any of these facilities and enjoy some of the local brew.
Just across the river in Illinois there are also many things to offer. Just 15 minutes from downtown you can visit the world Headquarters for Gateway Classic Cars. An automobile museum filled with hundreds of classic and collectible automobiles in a beautiful full feature venue that offers an education area, a theater, a business conference center and much more. So for the car enthusiast it's a must see facility.
You can also see the world famous Cahokia Mounds cover 2200 acres and contains 80 different mounds. It is a National Historic Landmark and provides rich history into the settlement in the area.
