1948 Chevrolet Thriftmaster

1948 Chevrolet Thriftmaster. This slick truck is powered by a Chevy 350 that has been upgraded with a mild cam, Victor Jr. intake, Holly carb, HEI distributor, headers and has ben dressed up with aluminum valve covers, air cleaner, spark plug wire holders, radiator overflow tank and a chrome alternator. The engine is hooked to a turbo 350 transmission which spins a shortened GM 10 bolt rear-end that has Weld Racing mag rims with spinners wrapped with 29x18.5 Hoosier drag radials. The body is painted in ivory white with hand painted pin striping that give this truck a clean rich look. The bed has a custom cover that opens in two sections one over the aluminum fuel cell and the other covering the tubed wheel wells and raised floor. The interior is finished in dark red cloth on the seats and door panels. Behind the Lecarra steering wheel the dash holds a compliment of AutoMeter gauges including tachometer, speedometer, fuel level, water temp, oil pressure and volts also the controls for the Vintage Air A/C system. Other options include; A/C, AM/FM radio with tape player, power brakes, power steering, tilt wheel, seat belts, cloth interior, radial tires and trailer hitch.
