This 1964 Pontiac Tempest convertible is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Tempest was introduced as an entry level compact in late 1960 as a 61 model. The big news though was in 64 with the introduction of the completely redesigned A Body. This would be the platform that some of the most memorable cars would be made on from the GTO to the Chevelle the A body was the original muscle car. You could pay north of 50k for it or you can buy a beautifully restored great looking tempest like this one for half the money. This tempest has gone through a complete restoration and it definitely shows. Painted back the original color this is exactly the way it was when delivered to the dealer in 64. The white vinyl top looks great and is in exceptional condition as well. New bumpers front and rear finish off the exterior and give the outside a fresh and new feel. Under the hood is where the real fun begins. The original 326 is tucked away nicely but can actually be woken up quite easily. With your basic 4 barrel sitting on top the right amount of fuel seems to never be an issue. The interior is done nicely and seems to be in excellent condition. The bench seat is comfortable with just the right amount of spring. With the vinyl being in great condition and showing no signs of wear the interior of this drop top is just as nice as the outside. Options on this 1964 Pontiac Tempest convertible include, Am Radio, Power Steering, Power Convertible Top, and White Wall Radial Tires.
