1955 Volkswagen Beetle

1955 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 4 Cylinder OHV
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 6,991 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1955 Volkswagen Beetle. Volkswagen Beetle’s are one of the most recognized cars in the world, and this 1955 VW Beetle will be recognized more than most. When purchasing a classic car, it always helps when the vehicle has had a long-term owner. History is everything when it comes to dealing with these cars. This “Bug” was a one owner vehicle for 30 years, which means it comes with extensive knowledge. In 2014, it was fully restored with the original body being placed on a 1975 pan. The car shows no rust, which Volkswagens were notorious for. Along with the new restoration, Teal paint was applied. Inside you’ll find newer grey cloth interior accented by green LED interior lights. This isn’t your typical ‘55 VW Beetle “Oval.” Roll the windows down, crank up the sound system, and you can be the life of the party. The system omits a booming 600 watts that will make the average “Shore Blvd” seem like the happening spot. If it gets too hot, turn on the frigid A/C and cool off. When it comes to customizing a vehicle, stance places a big role. What type of persona do you want the car to present? Judging by the stance put forth by the IRS suspension, this car oozes coolness. This car will not only be a local legend, it already has appeared in several magazine articles. With only 20,000 miles since being restored 5 years ago, there is a long life ahead of this car. You can jump on the highway and take a cross country trip in this car, especially with the highway gears it has in it which came out of a Super Beetle. Don’t worry about stopping either. This 55 Beetle is sporting disc brakes all the way around. Options include A/C, AM/FM CD Radio, Power Windows, Seat Belts, 17’’ Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, and Spare Tire. This 1955 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (813)645-6200 or email us at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com. 1963 Volkswagen Transporter

1963 Volkswagen Transporter

Engine: 1300 CC 4-Cylinder OHV
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 10,000 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this wonderful 1963 Volkswagen Transporter. This body style is the one to have and this little sweetheart even has the soft convertible top that when you put it back, you can let the sunshine in. Unlike some 23W models out there today, this one actually started life as a what it is today. Owned by a prominent VW collector, this is one of three buses he has in his collection. Having logged a trouble-free 10,000 miles since the engine was rebuilt, this 23W will reliably get you wherever you want to go. Throughout his long ownership, everything that's ever needed attention was attended to. It's been painted and a new interior was sewn up for it several years ago. Although the interior looks period-correct, it's not exactly as it left Wolfsburg in 1963. Only judges at a VW concours show would know the difference. These VW buses have gotten really popular over the recent years and are worth big bucks to overseas investors and collectors. To see 100-plus pictures and a video of this 1963 Volkswagen 23W Transporter, please visit http://www.gatewayclassiccars.com/SCT/34/1963-Volkswagen-Transporter for more information or to schedule an appointment to view this vehicle in person, please call the Scottsdale showroom at 623-900-4884 or email us directly at scottsdale@gatewayclassiccars.com

1965 Volkswagen Beetle

1965 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 4 Cyl
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 19,784 ( undocumented )

This 1965 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This sinister black beetle is one of the meanest looking and best performing beetle we have had in our showroom. The black paint is slick and shows well but this bug has more than just good looks. The fiberglass hood was used to shave off a couple more LB's. The 145 series tire on the front VS the 215’s on the back begin to give you an idea of what this “Peoples car” is all about. With the hood having that classic tilt opening up top the story is becoming even more clear, this beetle was built to run. The built engine has a ton of aftermarket EMPI parts that give this air-cooled 4 enough power to really open any enthusiasts eyes. The split intake with a set of EMPI carbs really catches the eye while the note coming out of the custom exhaust lets everyone know you mean business. The 4-speed transmission is an absolute blast to shift thru with the pattern feeling tight and close just as it should. The interior is rather original other than that huge tach and a couple gauges added to the dash. That of course is until you see the full roll bar making it safer while adding some rigidity. If you have been wanting to get into one of a bug but have not found one that gets the blood pumping when you drive it this black beetle may be the one. Options on this 1965 Volkswagen Beetle include, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. This 1965 Volkswagen Beetle is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD Video at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle

1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle

Engine: 1600 CC
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,158 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer an amazing 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle. This is not your Grandma’s Beetle. This little blue rocket has been completely built from the ground up. The ’73 V-Dub was completely disassembled, stripped to the bare floor pan. The body was reassembled and aligned and coated in a stunning coat of metallic blue. This Bug features its original 1,600cc Dual Port Flat Four. The engine has been completely rebuilt and features tons of new goodies. It breathes in through a new Bocar one barrel carburetor, and is equipped with a Bosch coil as well as Bosch wires. The engine is dressed in chrome for a show car finish when you pop the bonnet. The exhaust is just rowdy enough and resonates the distinct VW flat four sound. Perhaps the most impressive part of the whole car is the underside. The pans are painted, and the undercarriage is a clear indicator of the time spent rebuilding this Beetle. To dress up the outside, the car now rides on 15” EMPI chrome wheels. The front end even features disc brakes to further modernize the car. The interior is rather jazzy as it lights up with blue LED lighting as soon as the door is opened. The front seats are sporty racing buckets, and the car has functional seat belts for all passengers. The list of work on this Beetle goes on and on. It has been built to be a reliable, fun to drive show car. This is a great way to enter the classic car hobby, or to expand your existing VW collection. 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle

1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle

Engine:
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 58,158 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Nashville is proud to present this 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle. The new larger Beetle was labeled the 1302/1302 S. The main purpose of a new larger Beetle was to provide increased luggage capacity, which was increased by nearly 50%. MacPhearson strut suspension was added, similar to what was used in the Type 4, and the front track was also widened. The new suspension layout allowed the spare tire to be positioned flat under the trunk floor, although the car had to be lengthened slightly to accomplish this. This also allowed a reduction in turning radius making the already small platform, even more maneuverable. To gain additional room, the under-dash panel was lowered, allowing the fuel tank to be shifted rearward. From the windscreen back, the Super Beetle was identical to its smaller progenitor, except for having the semi-trailing arm rear suspension as standard equipment. This Beetle comes to us in excellent condition with an incredibly healthy stock engine that propels this bug down the road. This car is so fun to drive. This one is one of a kind. The interior has been upgraded with nicely padded gray high back seats. Equipped with a more modern sound system this beetle not only sounds great but runs with the best of them. This little bug would make a great daily driver!
