The amphibious car made for both land and water was, and still is, a cutting edge idea that astonishes and maybe even frightens onlookers who watch a car drive into their local lake. Back in 1961 this idea was released to the public at the world fair and had a short run with 1967 being the last year these cars were sold. This Amphicar is sea-worthy and, after prepping the car for the water, you can simply just drive it into the lake! As you drive in, you will use the secondary transmission to kick on the two propellers in the back to thrust you forward and continue on your cruise from the curvy back roads into the sunset on the lake. This very well could be the only car you will ever own that comes equipped with a bilge pump. This car has been well kept and maintained over the years and reliably starts every time you get in it. The 4-Speed manual transmission while on the road shifts smoothly and is hooked up behind a 4 cylinder Triumph engine. This car is guaranteed to turn heads where ever it goes and is such a cool unique vehicle to own. The chances of seeing another one similar wherever you go is very slim. If you have been looking for an amphicar, don’t let this one escape your grasp! This vehicle is located in our Milwaukee showroom.
