1932 Ford Deluxe

Engine: 350ci
Transmission: 4 Speed Auto
Mileage: 3082 ( undocumented )

The Atlanta Showroom is offering this 1932 Ford Deluxe Roadster. They’ve been building cars for 71 years since Henry Ford introduced the body style that followed the Model T’s 19-year run and the Model A’s 4-year stretch. It was in production for barely a year, and yet to this day, no other car has been as popular among hot rodders as it has. It is the car that appears more than any other in hot rod enthusiast magazines. It is the car that has been treated to literally every conceivable form of performance and appearance modification. It is the car that appeared on the very first cover of ROD & CUSTOM. It is the car practically everybody immediately thinks of when they hear the term “hot rod.” I am talking about the ’32 Ford, known to you and me simply as the Deuce. Of course, we’re most interested in the effect the Deuce has had in the 71 years since it first showed up, which has been primarily in the hot rodding hobby. It wasn’t just the ’32’s good-looking lines or the fact that the V-8 was touted as a performance choice from its earliest day; guys found out fast that the simple styling of the Deuce made it easy to turn into an eye-catching rod. The mere act of pulling the fenders off put you well down the road toward having a hot rod. The solid frame, built to take a V-8, was the perfect platform for virtually any engine. The Deuce design, like few other automobiles, has never gone out of style. Hot rodding trends change almost constantly, but the Deuce has been subject to all of them. Options include: Custom wheels, seat belts, leather interior, radial tires, white wall tires. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. For more information please call the Atlanta showroom at 678-894-4833!

1939 Chevrolet Deluxe

Engine: 350ci
Transmission: 3 Speed Auto
Mileage: 14414 ( undocumented )

We offer this 1939 Chevrolet Deluxe Sedan. Well you can throw your ideas of staying out of sight right out the window if you take this 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe 2-door sedan home with you. Bright orange paint, flames, a rumbling stroker motor, and all the other stuff that makes hot rods awesome is standard equipment. If you like the look, you're going to love the ride. Over $25,000 was spent on the paint and interior on this car and it shows. The '39 Chevys were always attractive cars, and with a few minor tweaks, this one takes on a slick hot-rod look that's impeccably smooth. The all-steel body did not require major surgery to get to its current astounding condition, just a lot of time invested in the details. Plus block sanding... lots and lots of block sanding. The bright orange paint has a bunch of pearl in it, so there's a glow to it when the light hits it just right, and the incredible flames are so intricate and detailed that they probably took two weeks to paint all by themselves. You'll note that much of the trim was shaved, and the flames lick around the side trim which is still in place, just painted to match the body. The grille appears stock but is actually a fabricated piece that simulates the classic 1939 Chevy V-shaped grille, giving it an updated, smooth look. The windshield was Vee'd, the running boards painted body color and treated to their own flame job, and discreet side mirrors were fitted to the doors. Other smooth tricks include a flush-mounted fuel-filler door and the low-mounted taillights where the bumper used to life. The stunning interior is well beyond your usual hot rod fare, incorporating low-back buckets and more flames to great effect. The tan leatherette upholstery feels upscale and supple, and the modern buckets are all-day comfortable. They brought the orange paint inside, but in small doses so it feels cohesive without being overwhelming, and the custom-made dashboard is absolutely beautiful with its cream-colored gauges. A/C was artfully incorporated into the dash and a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo uses speakers in the custom center console and rear deck to deliver sound. A full-width back seat means this is a family-friendly rod and with a sizeable trunk in back, feel free to hit the road in style. Cruising is effortless, but this Chevy is also downright fast thanks to a 383 cubic inch small block which has been dressed in lots of chrome. The coordination with the bodywork is evident and they really went the extra mile to make it look right, hood up or hood down. Equipment like a 4-barrel carburetor and block-hugger headers help the fast-revving stroker motor build horsepower and with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, it's plenty punchy around town. The chassis was reinforced and upgraded with a Mustang II front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering, while out back there's a Ford 9-inch on leaf springs with a beefy sway bar. Disc brakes at all four corners are a sensible upgrade and with new ball joints and shocks in 2011, it rides and drives superbly. 15-inch American Racing wheels polished up nicely and wear 195/60/15 front and fat 225/70/15 rear performance radials. Well-built and not too radical to drive across the country, this very cool '39 Chevy makes a compelling argument for full-sized rods. Options include: Radial tires, tilt wheel, seat belts, alarm system, Aluminum wheels, vinyl interior. To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1940 Ford Deluxe Sedan

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 56560 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is one very cool all-metal 1940 Ford Sedan Deluxe. Covered in a Creme and Burgundy two-tone paint scheme, it looks like any other nicely-done 1940's sedan, but this one is not what it seems at first glance...but more on that later! Its exterior chrome is in good shape, and the interior chrome trim looks great! Open the hood, and you'll note that the engine bay sports a decidely non-'40s GM 350 CID V8, with a mild Comp Cams bumpstick, double hump heads, a Holley aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4BBL carb, and coated shorty headers. Power Steering and A/C are added benefits; along with a massive HD radiator with twin pull fans behind it and a big pusher fan at the front. Certainly this is one sleeper rod that will run long and cool. The 350 has less than 5000 miles on it since it was built, and it and the GM TH350 3-peed auto trans work seamlessly with the 3.08:1-equipped GM 12-bolt posi rear end to get this thing up to speed quickly. When you want to scrub off that speed, the front disk/rear drum brake combo work in tandem to haul things down quickly. When you come to a stop, you'll appreciate the menacing rumble that the custom dual exhaust with FlowMaster mufflers provide, and so will your audience at the cruise-ins you'll be frequenting in this stylish "old gal with the young heart"! Moving to the inside, you'll appreciate the craftsmanship that went into the restoration of the interior. Using modern materials, but keeping the vintage motif, the interior looks as though it could have been original, but it's obviously a modernized upgrade of the fabrics that it would have had. In keeping with the accent color of the exterior, the maroon synthetic leather-trimmed cloth seats and all carpeting coordinate nicely with the exterior. Occupants will appreciate the extra space in the back, and everyone will enjoy the air-conditioned comfort that this baby provides. The AM/FM/CD head unit provides your choice of audio. The driver will appreciate the addition of the Equus Pro Tach, and the 3 gauge cluster under the dash helps keep vital engine functions monitoring just a glance away. Additional options on this 1940 Ford Sedan Deluxe for sale include Air Conditioning, AM/FM/CD Radio, Hub Caps, Power Steering, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Synthetic Leather seating. 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car

Engine: Flat Head
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 21896 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this very unique 1940 Ford Super Deluxe Flower Car once again. If you're scratching your head thinking "I've never seen one of those before!" It's probably because you most likely have not. This 1940 Ford Deluxe was produced by the Ford Motor Company and then converted by The Eureka Manufacturing Company of Rock Falls Illinois into a flower car. Essentially starting out as a 5-window coupe, the conversion lengthened the chassis and the convertible rear casket compartment was created with metal rollers and pins to store the side rails that would hold flowers in place. This car had a dual use of being enclosed with the original canvas cover for the less elaborate funerals and having the rear compartment cover removed and side rails installed for a more elaborate send off. Flower cars were popular during the middle of the century and now are rarely seen in modern funerals. While most if not all of these conversions done by Eureka were on General Motors vehicles this one being a Ford and not a Packard or Cadillac makes this highly obscure and is believed to be the only one ever made. This car was purchased new in 1940 and check out the original photos of the car being delivered. Now fast forward 78 years and you will notice that not much has really changed. This is an original, unmolested, unrestored car that still retains the original paint, original canvas cover, original interior and powertrain. Now is your chance to own something that nobody else has and enter the world of Professional Car Collectors. Surely this will be the only one at whatever show you attend and thanks to years of maintenance and recent service work performed this car is ready for the road and will cruise at highway speeds. New parts include brake shoes, wheel and master cylinders, brake hoses, rear axle seals, new points set, fuel tank, fuel pump and carburetor overhaul. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1941 Ford Deluxe Opera

Engine: 95 HP V8
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 62554 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to offer this incredible pre-war 1941 Ford Deluxe Opera Coupe. This unique piece of Americana was an overhaul in Ford styling. The body was widened over the area where the running boards once were and lengthened by several inches. Along with several suspension modifications and upgrades these eliminated the rough and tumble ride of previous generations. These cars not only served as the runabout of the day but were highly prized by traveling salesmen for the extremely large trunk area to carry their wares and as legend goes, crawl into the truck for a quick nap while on the road. The Opera Deluxe was easily identified by the abundance of chrome trim and folding jump seats in the back. Another unique feature of the Ford Deluxe was the ability to manually crank start the car in the event of a dead battery. Looking straight on at the grille you will see a small opening just below top of the front bumper for the hand crank to be inserted, very clever. This feature remained on the Deluxe until the 1949 model year change, the first significant styling change post war. With the brief background lesson over let’s get to our beautiful 1941 Deluxe for sale. Standing proud in Henry Ford black, the sporty and sweeping lines of this Deluxe begs to be driven and shown off in all her elegance. Driving this 41 Ford for sale is just as unique as the car itself. The flathead V-8 provides ample pep in your step power and coupled with a three on the tree manual transmission it gives you a fabulous driving experience no longer found. Sporting a three-piece front grille, fender mounted turn signals and split front windshield with head lights integrated into the front fenders, the Ford Deluxe ushered in a new era of styling. With the wide whitewalls and fender skirts it’s easy to imagine yourself on the way to the Opera in nostalgic elegance. Sliding behind the wheel you see the instrument cluster and hand pull knobs all made from Bakelite, a precursor to today’s modern plastics and highly collectible. One of the coolest items in the interior is the Southwind heater. A Deluxe only option, the heater operated independently with the engine off, using gasoline and a small fuel pump to keep occupants warm while at the drive-in movie. The cars also featured push button start and a bolt lock steering wheel not releasing until the key was turned. Both of these items were very innovative for the day and have resurfaced in the modern autos of today. This blast from the past has received a mild interior restoration with just enough done to revive the comfort and elegance but preserve the nostalgia and innovation of the time. Don’t miss this opportunity to show and go in this iconic and rare piece of American history. Options include; Deluxe package, Southwind heater, new glass and rubber, new fuel pump, new brakes and wheel cylinders, new clutch, and new reproduction interior. This 1941 Ford Deluxe Opera Coupe is for sale in our Orlando Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
