1970 Volkswagen Beetle

Engine: 1835 CC
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 11525 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to offer a super cool 1970 Volkswagen Beetle. This little Beetle has come a long way since rolling off the assembly line in 1970. Gone is the original flat four which would’ve had something in the neighborhood of 57 horsepower. In it’s place is a freshly built Willy’s Racing Engines Dual Port 1,825cc. This screaming air cooler has twin34 Weber carbs, as well as a custom exhaust which allows it to really breathe. The result is about 200 horsepower and one of the fastest Beetles around. The car will attract a crowd everywhere it goes. It wears bright lime green and black two tone paint, and sports a unique roof “snorkel” which scoops air into the oil cooler. The transmission has been upgraded to a “Freeway Flyer” 4 speed and even the interior has been fully updated. As if it needed another way to gather attention, it’s party trick is the tilt forward fiberglass front end. What a great way to get into the classic car hobby. This Beetle could be the star of your next cruise night, and for a fraction of the price of a restored muscle car. The really fun part is, with the light weight, and the increased horsepower, you might even surprise a few muscle cars off the line! You can see this sweet little ’70 Beet in our Chicago showroom or at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Please contact 708-444-4488 or chicago@gatewayclassiccars.com with inquiries.

Thank you for your interest in this unique 1927 Ford T-Bucket Roadster. This classic Ford is turn key and ready to fly down the street. This 1927 T-Bucket is very fun to drive and always turns heads. The Ford Model T was extremely popular and helped to put America on the road and the millions that were sold meant there was no shortage of small roadster bodies available for customization ever since the 1920’s. In the 1950’s the T-Bucket was named by Norm Grabowski and appeared in the show 77 Sunset Strip. An Icon was established that continues to live on amongst hot-rodders today. Titled as a 1927 Ford, this T-Bucket really stands out in the crowd with its black paint and hotrod blue flames. The brown vinyl interior and wood grain dash really add the finishing touch to this T-Bucket. This T-Bucket is a thrill to drive with a classic 350 Cubic Inch V8 that is fed by 2 Holley 4bbl carburetor and even has a new Holley Red fuel pump. 1953 Ford F100

Engine: 289
Transmission: 3 Speed Manual
Mileage: 14769 ( since rebuilt )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this awesome 1953 Ford F100. This ‘53 Ford F100 is the one you have been waiting for. Too often you see cars and trucks that have been personalized past the point of no return. Fortunately, that is not the case with this truck. Looking at this beautiful fire engine red truck is like an artist looking at an open idea. You can leave it the way it is and have loads of fun, or modify it to your liking. The overall stock look is very appealing with the bright red paint and black running boards. The simplistic chrome “dog dish” hub caps and painted steel wheels takes you down memory lane. There is just enough chrome displayed to add to the look, but not take away from the nostalgic feel. You don’t run into these 1953 Ford F100’s in this type of shape often. The simple basic feel carries right over into the light brown vinyl bench seat interior. This truck makes you want to hop in, drive to a huge open field, and sip a tall glass of lemonade. With only a few knobs and switches on the inside, the bright chrome gauge cluster captures your eyes showing speedometer, oil pressure, volts, water temp, and fuel. Powering this classic F100 is a Ford 289 “Y” block mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. Adding to the vintage package is the fact that it is “three on the tree.” It doesn’t get much better than this when it comes to a pure throwback classic. If it’s too tame for you, let your imagination run wild. The best thing about this 1953 Ford F100 is the fact you know exactly what you’re dealing with. Options include Spare Tire, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and a Wood Slat truck bed. Don’t miss your opportunity to take a trip down memory lane. There is still plenty of country roads out there to explore and car shows to pull up to. This 1953 Ford F100 is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information, please call our knowledgeable staff at (813)645-6200 or email us at Tampa@GatewayClassicCars.com. With less than 500 miles and 49 hours showing on the meter of this professionally built and inspected 2,994 cc engine this Kawasaki green 1982 Porsche 911 SC is ready to tear into any track while still being tame enough to be streetable. The 901 transmission has been completely gone through and rebuilt just previous to the engine build. Keeping with the performance of this Porsche is the suspension underneath. New front through-the-body and rear sway bars, Bilstein struts in the front as well as shocks in the rear. New ATE brakes front and rear of the vehicle as well as hollow torsion bars (23mm front, 33mm rear). If you are looking for a true turn key street/track car that stands out in a crowd this is definitely one you need to have! The owner definitely spared no expense when building up the powertrain and suspension for this car, and the body follows along with the same attention to quality and detail. Every part that could be taken off of the car was during the painting process and meticulously reinstalled to make sure no stone was left unturned. Even the floor pans have a clear protective film on them. The paint job took 8 months and cost $32,000. 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Engine: 396 L-89
Transmission: M21 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 11394 ( undocumented )

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible. This black big block is powered by a 375 horse 396 with the L-89 aluminum head option. This was a true screamer! Solid lifters and high compression pop-up pistons with free flowing aluminum Winters GM cylinder heads. This is not an original L-89 car, or the price would be near double as only a handful were ever built. However, this is a very accurate representation of a real L-89 car. The car featured has received a full frame off restoration in 2014 and will stop most people dead in their tracks. The paint appears as if it is miles deep and the rumble emitting from the coated ceramic headers and Flowmaster mufflers is intoxicating. Putting the power to the pavement is a close ratio Muncie M-21 4 speed manual, 12 bolt rear end with 4.10:1 posi traction gears and some wide radial rubber. The rear tires are 275/60R15 and the car needs it! These big blocks were known for their stump pulling torque. The solid lifter variant of the big blocks were some of the meanest on the street. With a redline of 6,500 RPM and a factory under rated 375 horsepower, this was not a car to underestimate. True power numbers are far above 400 horsepower, especially with headers. Some sources say adding headers to a solid lifter high RPM Chevy Big Block was worth 75-100 extra horsepower. The factory cast iron exhaust manifolds were very restrictive. Equipment on this big block 4 speed convertible include Power top, Power brakes, Power steering, Power windows, tilt steering column and an AM/FM radio. Triple black with Magnum 500 wheels wrapped with BFG radial rubber, this car is gorgeous. For more information, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000 or swing by for an up close viewing. 1967 Ford Galaxie 500

Engine: 390 CID V8
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 85148 ( undocumented )

Available now in our DFW Showroom is this impressive 1967 Ford Galaxie! Period advertisements boasted that the Ford Galaxie 500 was quieter than a Rolls-Royce, which was their way of boasting about how well the engineers had done in isolating the new frame from the new body. The reasons for this were practical enough, it was the first year since 1956 that the Ford and Mercury full-sized cars again shared their essential architecture, basic frame and basic body structures (with variations), in a bid to increase profitability. The 1967 version of the Galaxie was reskinned, which produced new two-door hardtop/fastback rooflines. The LTD variant now shared the two-door roofline, but the rear side glass shape was altered for a more formal appearance, and technically speaking, LTD became a series of its own this year. This Ford Galaxie underwent a full restoration in 2008, at this time the motor was rebuilt along with the transmission too. The black and red interior, including matching dash, really stands out. Especially with the word “Galaxie” stitched on both the passenger and driver side bench seat and “Ford” in the backseat. It is also equipped with a set of Boston-acoustic speakers. Which can really help you hear the tunes as you’re flying around in this vehicle, windows down and wind in your hair. What is it that’s creating that wind? No folks, that’s not just a 390 decal on the side, that’s what this bad boy comes with, a rebuilt 390CID-315HP 4BBL, with a 4-speed manual transmission. No question, it was made to get you where you’re going in a hurry. Finally, all this is riding around on a quality set of American Racing Wheels. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. 1984 Chevrolet Corvette

Engine: 5.7L V8 F OHV
Transmission: 4-Speed Auto
Mileage: 46310 ( undocumented )

Now for sale in our Milwaukee showroom is this unique 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. Between the sharp C4 lines and the relatively low mileage, this car will make an excellent driver. 1984 was the first year of the C4 body style. The C4 corvette brought back more powerful engines and the convertible option to the cars. This generation of corvette was also the first to have the Glass hatchback to allow for convenient storage in the rear. Braking was improved with aluminum calipers and new rotors. In the rear, the suspension was updated with a Fiberglass mono-leaf instead of a traditional leaf spring. Powering this sleek ride is a 5.7-liter Crossfire V8 that was good for 205 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. This power helped accelerate the car to 60 MPH in a little over 6 seconds when new. Sending the V8 power to the rear wheels is a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive that shifts smoothly through the gears. Overall this car runs well and would be a good driver or weekend cruiser. Moving outward, this sleek ride is finished with unique striping and multicolor Chameleon clearcoat. It’s a 1996 World of Wheels winner, and was awarded best-in-show in multiple shows. Upon entering the interior, the driver will feel very comfortable thanks to the power leather seats which feature lumbar support. This car is loaded with amenities such as power mirrors, power windows, power brakes, power steering and power locks. In the summer months, the driver will appreciate the removable glass top that allows for plenty of sunshine and fresh air. When it comes time to listen to some driving music, the sound system in this car is sure to impress. 1981 Mercedes-Benz 380SL

Engine: 3.8L V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 90252 ( actual )

For sale in Dallas/Ft.Worth showroom is this 1981 Mercedes Benz-380SL. In 1980, Mercedes-Benz revamped its SL lineup of sporting luxury convertibles with the introduction of the 380SL. The 380 was an enhancement of the R107 chassis, which was first used in 1972 by the 350SL and then by the 450SL. This was an extremely popular model in the U.S. for its combination of V-8 power, refined luxury and sporty underneath carriage. The 380-SL was a lighter then its predecessor 450-SL, a 120 pounds lighter to be exact. Thus, it’s new V-8 3.8 liter engine was plenty of power for these vehicles. The new engine was designed with emissions controls in mind while the 450SL’s mill was not, which meant that the two engines were relatively equal in terms of power (155 hp in the 380SL vs. 160 hp in the 450SL) despite the difference in their displacements. Performance was similar for the two cars, as was fuel economy. This 1981 Mercedes Benz 380 SL has been family owned and passed down for over 25 years. All the paint has held up very well over the years. The interior is all original and pops with a bit of woodgrain installed in the dash. Another real stand out feature on this vehicle is those Dayton spoked wired wheels! Most certainly is going to catch anyone’s eye who sees them. To view this vehicle in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and videos, visit our website at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information on this 1981 Mercedes Benz 380SL, email us at dallas@gatewayclassiccars.com or call 817-310-9400.

1967 Chevrolet Nova SS

Engine: 327 V8
Transmission: Muncie 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 91757 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this 1967 Chevrolet Nova SS. Let’s answer the main question everyone is asking themselves. Is it a “REAL” SS? The answer is…Yes, this is absolutely a real ‘67 Nova SS car with a 118 VIN number Super Sport. This is one of the most sought after Nova’s made. The body style for this Nova was only a two-year run. 1967 marked the last year of the shoebox Nova style. In 1968, Chevrolet would turn to a more rounded slant back body style. This is the type of Muscle Car one dreams about. Does it get any better than a Marina Blue ‘67 SS car? No! The paint glistens even though it was restored back in 1987. The chrome gleams accenting the aggressive Nova look these cars are known for. Add in the fact that it has Crager S/S wheels all the way around the car, keeping it true to its lineage. When you look inside, you will notice how nice of condition the black deluxe interior is in. Sporting the bucket seats with the SS console your eyes are drawn to the 4-speed shifter. Yes, you read correctly, 4-speed. The Muncie 4-speed manual transmission is the staple of any “true” muscle car. Also, located on the inside of this “Deuce Coupe” is A/C for those hot summer days cruising the town. Now to the most important part of any muscle car. What’s under the hood? What else would be under the hood other than a nicely built 327. Again, the same theme keeps popping up here; This is an authentic-real-true muscle car. The 327 is dressed and displays high performance upgrades, such as the Edlebrock Hi-rise and Holley carburetor. The snappy V8 motor with an attitude has camel hump heads and breathes through Flowmaster Exhaust. Options include AM/FM Radio with USB, A/C, Spare Tire, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, Front Disc Brakes, Dual Mirrors, Tinted Glass, and a Cowl Hood. Engine: 8 Cylinder
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 118939 ( actual )

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to present this 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL. Two reasons people collect art is to preserve history and make a sound investment. The price of the artwork is often based on the talent of the artist and what they have accomplished. This 1980 Mercedes falls into that category. This was the last car owned by the ICONIC HALL of FAME professional baseball LEGEND Roger Maris. Roger Maris was known for breaking the single-season home run record held by another legend, Babe Ruth. Maris blasted sixty-one home runs in a single-season. How often do you get to own a car from a super star? Added to the mix is the fact that this is a 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450 SL. Some regard the 1980 Mercedes 450 SL as a legend in its own right. The exterior is finished in the classic Mercedes Silver with black leather interior. With the front engine rear wheel drive design, handling characteristics are not quite what you would expect. The ride is plush yet stiff with just the right amount of road feel making it an absolute pleasure to drive. Powering this exotic roadster is a torque filled 4.5 liter V8 that is paired to a smooth shifting 4 speed automatic allowing this roadster to barrel down the road in a way that only a Mercedes can. The interior is exactly what you would expect from a Benz. There is enough high quality leather to cover three sofas with the bucket seats being as comfortable as they look. The interior door panels are in great condition and definitely remind you that you are in a high end luxury car. With the late 70's and early 80's German cars being one of the hottest commodities in the collector car market, this beauty is sure to find a new home quickly. 1979 Pontiac Trans Am

Engine: 6.6 Liter V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Automatic
Mileage: 42269 ( undocumented )

“Hero Car” is a term in the classic car enthusiasts world that denotes a vehicle of extreme desire and reverence; a bonafide statement of steel, heritage, and classic styling. Our newest arrival at the Gateway Classic Cars showroom in St. Louis, MO, has certainly earned the rights to this esteemed moniker. The 1979 Pontiac Trans Am 6.6, iconically donned in Starlight Black with gold embleming, was, and still is, the definition of “ Bitchin’ ”. The 2nd generation of GM/Pontiac’s F-Body vehicles hosted an array of impressive body lines, eye-opening powertrain, and new options for over a decade (1970-1981), and this specific arrival is a shining example of why the 2nd generation held such a lengthy tenure. This high-option Trans Am has been lovingly cared for and maintained, boasting a 6.6 litre 403 CID 4 BBL V8 and 3-Speed automatic transmission. A quick decoding of the VIN will lead its next satisfied caretaker on a journey through its production, which took place in the Van Nuys, California plant. From thereon, she was shipped for initial sale to Miller Pontiac-GMC in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Once parked and displayed, it wouldn’t be long before this bird found a new cage to break through. This Trans Am stands aggressively confident in its originality with a mere 42,269 miles. Mild restoration is suspected to have taken place throughout the years, but only with undying respect for maintaining the Pontiac patrimony. The engine bay, trunk, and undercarriage are all rock-solid, flat black, and free of unsightly rust - an absolute rarity for a Midwestern car. The traditional Firebird graphics and decals, unlike many other ever-peeling examples on the market, were done professionally and with respect to original placement and quality. Opening the door to this sought-after carriage will display a world of options to the trained Trans Am expert. Brushed aluminum rally gauge panel, custom Hobnail bucket seats, and tilt steering wheel make up just a few of the vehicle’s adornments. Further inspection will reveal modernization in the form of a USB/CD-compatible Kenwood head unit, allowing the driver to revel in glory to the sounds of his/her favorite tracks alongside the throaty v8 exhaust note. An NOS spare tire awaits use in the trunk, while the cherished 15x8” Gold Honeycomb rally wheels motivate the vehicle. Additionally, power steering and power brakes are utilized for this build. All glass is in excellent condition. The previous owners have taken it upon themselves to acquire proper and frame-worthy PHS Documentation, as a respectful nod to the excitement that one, possibly you, would and will feel when selecting this commanding example of Pontiac’s brainchild. Idle hands on this offering will pose a dire threat to making her your next addition to the family.
