For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette. This beautiful Red on Red 4-speed convertible has been fully restored and drives like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Power comes from a number's matching 300 horse 327 small block. This smooth power is sent through a 4-speed transmission and back to a Corvette first, independent rear suspension. This new rear end would take the Corvette into a whole new dimension and gave the boys over in Europe a run for their money. The 1963 Corvette Sting Ray will always be known as one of the most collectible Corvettes. Another first were the hidden headlamps that would stay with the Corvette until the C6 Corvette of 2005. It was also the first Corvette to wear the Sting Ray name. The Sting Ray would continue until 1976 and back again in 2014 for the new C7. Options for this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible include: AM/FM Radio, Manual Convertible Top, Hub Caps, White Wall Radial Tires, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Interior.
This proven show winner looks amazing from top to bottom. During the restoration, the original gauges were all sent off and restored, new carpet, seat covers, steering wheel and more. The engine bay is equipped with an aftermarket aluminum radiator for issue free cooling in hot weather and a red top Optima Battery ensures a reliable start.
