Now in our Houston Showroom is this stunning and show-winning 1923 Ford Roadster. This is a show car that is definitely capable of being raced. Not only would you likely win a few races, you would look cool doing it as well. The lettering on the car is made of vinyl and if you would like to rebrand it you can always change it. Powering this beastly machine is a massive 468 CID V8 which is paired to a TH-400 transmission. This strong motor is putting out approximately 800 horsepower on racing fuel of course. No need to look very hard to see the complimentary 6-71 supercharger sitting on top of this engine to add some additional power to the already powerful engine. Some additional components on the car include SRP Forged Blower Pistons, 8-1 Compression, Forged Steel Crankshaft, Milodon 8qt. The Burgundy Pearl paint with real gold leaf flames makes this car stand out of the crowd and makes it show worthy. The Burgundy Pearl paint was done by Paint House Texas and is in good condition. The gold leaf flames and pin striping were done by Dave Whittle of California designs, and it truly sets the car apart. Founded by Herbert Austin in 1905, the Austin Motor Company would create models that would influence large automotive manufacturers for years to come. During the great depression, many auto makers restructured, including Austin Motor Company. A year before reorganizing and becoming American Bantam, Austin would produce one it's most rare and highly desirable prototypes ever, the Austin Boat Tail Speedster. With only six ever produced, this 1937 Austin Boat Tail Prototype for sale doesn't get much rarer. With over 2,000 man hours put into the restoration of this particular Austin, this Boat Tail for sale is simply one of a kind. The exterior is a real looker, in a gorgeous coat of Green paint. Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is this beautifully restored 1947 Kurtis-Kraft Midget #18. This car represents a great example of vintage post-war race car and would look great at any show. Powering this piece of history is a Offenhauser 110 CID DOHC 4-cylinder motor. This engine features Hilborn fuel injection which is said to be the first fuel injection system created and was desired by many racers of the era. Paired up with the engine is a 2-speed manual “in and out” transmission with your choice of either neutral or GO! The quick-change rear end made this car capable of interchangeable gearing for different racing needs to improve the odds of a win. To provide the stopping power of this beautiful beast is 4-wheel disk-brakes that sit behind 12” aluminum wheels with knock-offs. A complete tubed steel chassis and aluminum dash aided in the car being light weight improving its overall performance. The tires are Firestone 150-12 in the front and M&H Racemaster 150-12 and are in good condition. For what little interior the car has, it is in very good condition. The car features a black leather racing seat, with the convenience of the drive shaft running through your legs. The aluminum dash has machine turned and shows very well. It’s amazing to see what race cars of that era were like and to compare them with todays monstrous machines. This car would make for a great show piece in anyone’s home or museum, possibly even be taken to your local track permitting it meets the requirements. This Bel Air is no joke and means business. If you are looking for a classic Drag Car with top of the line, modern performance and excellent build quality, you’ve found it. The heart of this Classic Dragster is a professionally built 476 CI big block Chevy with 15:1 compression ratio. This engine has been decked, squared, and align honed. The top of the block is O-ringed with copper head gaskets. The engine has an 1150CFM Barry Grant Dominator with Barry Grant Fuel Log on a Holley Strip Dominator Manifold. This has Top Proline 360 cylinder heads and Ferrea Valves. This bad boy has a Crane mechanical roller cam with Pete Jackson gear drive, Harland sharp roller rockers, and Smith Bros pushrods. This big block Chevy engine has forged rods, pistons, and crankshaft. The hardware and fasteners are ARP, and the ceramic coated headers have a 5 inch turndowns. This engine is internally balanced and the flywheel is SFI. Mated to this monster engine is a professionally built ATI short shaft, 2 speed Powerglide transmission with ATI trans brake and Big Planetary gear set. You will also find a PCT 5000 torque converter with fluid diode as well as an SFI flywheel housing shield and SFI oil pan shield. The trans fluid lines are steel braided #6 and Russel fittings with a remote Hayden trans cooler and clip down positive seal trans fill tube. With regards to the rear end, there is a Dana 60 with Strange Spool and 456/488 gears. There Strange axels with big end bearings. This fantastic, award-winning 1957 Chevrolet 2-Door Sedan is the best of the best. Featuring a 468 cid big block, 4-bolt main power plant topped by a Dyers 871 blower, this beast is all business. Additional build features include aluminum heads, MSD ignition, steel crank, h-beam rods and a blow-proof bell housing. This awesome 1963 Dodge 330 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 330 was Dodge’s full-size car for 62-64 and was based on the B-body. Available with anything from the slant six to the monstrous 426 there was a 330 to fit anyone’s needs. The one that garnered the most attention was of course the Max Wedge. A monstrous 426 cubic with a cross ram style intake and 2 4 barrels sitting on top it was intimidating just to look at. Made in very limited numbers they are prized and sought after today. This beauty is one of those sought-after cars making it an extremely rare find. The engine powering this full on drag car is a 440 with wedge heads and that sought after cross ram intake. Built using a 1967 440 Block this engine is putting out quite a bit more power than the original one. The 426 Ramcharger heads have been worked over giving this beast an unbelievable amount of torque. The 727 Torque flight transmission has been built to handle all that power and still retains the push button transmission. The Dana 60 rear end has been stuffed with a set of 5.13 gears allowing for unbelievable off the line acceleration. With the spool locking up both axles this car was built to go straight. The huge 32 15 Goodyear slicks are exactly what you need to get this monster to hook up. The car has had one repaint back to its original red color and even though it was 40 years ago it still shows very well. The fiberglass rear bumper helps to shave some weight off while retaining the factory look. Inside is what you would expect in a drag car with just a seat for the driver. The cage while built for safety also makes the car more ridged. The Lexan windows are fixed in place and help to shave weight. Both have only 6775 miles on them are both are very healthy and pack a punch on this lightweight chassis. The build on this car was complete in 2010 and features a 440 V8 with a mild cam mated to a 23 Spline 833 4 Speed manual transmission with a Dana 60 rear end with 4:56 gears. It has been tubbed and features 33X21.5X15 rear tires. The body of the car was straight and rust free, so minimal body work was required. The trim moldings were filled in and rear wheel wells extended 1”. Painted in the classic Black Metallic this jewel is guaranteed to be in style long for years to come. The interior was the last piece of the puzzle and features factory buckets and a full roll cage as well as a full complement of custom gauges. This 66 is a fitting example of what these cars are all about. No fancy ECU’s collecting data for the next hit or controlling spark and fuel mixtures on this beast. Just plain and simple raw power with the driver trying to get it to the ground. This 66 was a great car when started with the body in an excellent condition the attention was directed to the heart of the MOPAR. Built by Muscle Motors in Lansing MI, the 572 CI HEMI is a force to be contended with. Putting out a ground shaking 800 HP standing next to this behemoth at idle is something every gearhead needs to experience. With those massive Hemi heads taking up so much space it takes a couple looks to figure out how that got so much engine under that hood. With the cross-ram intake sitting on top getting enough fuel to this animal is the least of your worries. Built by John Cope the reverse manual valve body 727 trans is exactly what you would expect in such a build. Getting power to the ground is the bullet proof Dana 60 rear end which has been filled with a set of Moser 40 splined axles. The 4.56 gear set will get this MOPAR down the ¼ mile perfectly. The cage has been certified and meets the NHRA standards for nostalgia super stock with the fit being one of the best I have seen. The Gary Ball Super Stock interior is clean and what should be in the car keeping it as close to the real deal as possible. With a build expense into the 6 figures and only 20 passes on the car this would be an excellent way to get into one of the most competitive and coolest classes of drag racing there is. The Shelby Cobra was first made in 1961 when Carroll Shelby wrote to AC Cars, a British automotive company, and asked if they could build him a car with a V8 instead of their V6. Ford supplied the engine, at Carroll Shelby's request, so they could compete with Chevrolet’s Corvette. The car was built starting with a Shell Valley body and frame kit in 2012. Since then, only 435 miles have been put on the clock. Powering the Cobra is Ford’s venerable 351 Cleveland, mated to a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission. This engine/trans combo makes for a truly enjoyable driving experience at any speed. Behind the excellent powertrain is a Jaguar independent rear suspension, which puts down the power very smoothly. The desirability of the car isn’t limited to what is under the body, however. This Cobra is painted in PPG Top Brand 1994 Viper Blue, a truly striking color when matched to the silver racing stripes. A 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback that started life as a 390 CID car, many many hands were involved in making this dream a reality. The body work was done by Desert Mustangs in Scottsdale AZ. She has made the circuits and was sold at Barrett-Jackson in 2006 and then underwent many thousands of dollars worth of work on the drivetrain to make this monster work in real life. So now the engine is a fully built bored and stroked 398 CID V8 that started as a 351 Cleveland. All of the supporting parts are top notch and support the 575 horsepower this engine creates. There are some cool tricks too. The custom exhaust is very muted until you flip the switch on the center console that opens the exhaust, the car then sings a very different tune. The neighbors will not be very happy with you running through the neighborhood banging through the T56 six speed transmission. All of this is backed by a Ford 9 inch rear differential with 3.89:1 gears and locking differential. No she isn’t a one trick pony either, ac makes driving in any area or time of year comfortable, power steering and power brakes make it all buttery smooth for driving. And please don’t think she is just a show pony either, she did 167 mph in a half mile runway race recently. Under the Glasstek hood and between the glasstek fenders sits an evil 572 Cubic inch Big block Chevy that gulps down alcohol through a Ron’s terminator injection system that is rated at 1475 cubic feet per minute. The air and fuel then flow to the pro filer rectangular aluminum heads into the Merlin block where this mixture is compressed to 14 to 1. This bad boy has way too many high tech parts to list everything, let’s just say it’s very quick. Now, what good would all this horsepower be if you had no way to plant it to the ground? Ok, here we go. This beast of a ride has been back halfed using R.J. race cars four link with pro stock bars connecting it to the Strange center section housing 4.56 final gears. The final gears then send this massive power to the wheels via Strange engineering 35 spline axles that are connected to the wrinkle wall drag slick with 5/8 inch studs. Between the torque monster under the hood and the strange engineering axles is the workhorse powerglide 2 speed transmission which houses a nine and a half inch, 4500 stahl converter which allows the engine to get deep into the power curve. Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1968 Dodge Dart Pro Street “Indy Cylinder Head built the Dart”. It has a Hemi -- 605 cubic inches monster engine! That was reflected on the dyno sheets that Indy supplied with the engine: 836.8 horsepower and 752 lb.-ft of torque. The Hemi was teamed with an equally stout J.W. Performance Transmission–built 727 with a 4,200-stall converter and a narrowed rear end equipped with Strange axles and a Detroit Locker that are up to the task of taming all that Hemi power. Outside, what was left of the original Dart’s body structure was plenty enough to build from, once the floors and quarters were replaced with new steel. AAR Fiberglass’ bolt-on hood, bumper, front fender, doors, and decklid reproductions -- plus a ’68 Super Stock–style hood scoop -- were fitted and installed before the two-stage Sikkens Viper Red enamel went on. Inside, it’s a combination of race-car safety hardware and high-end cruiser, with leather covering the SCAT racing seats, dash and door panels, and custom carpets on the floors. As for a sound system, the Hemi’s custom exhaust system is for that purpose. Engine: There’s big, there’s huge—and then there’s this Indy Cylinder Head–built Street Legend Hemi. Displacing 605 inches, it features Indy’s aluminum 41/2-inch bore block, with a forged Callies crankshaft and Eagle H-beam rods, forged 10.75:1 compression Wiseco pistons, and a Comp Cams solid-roller camshaft. A pair of Indy’s 426-1RA heads, ported Indy intake with a 1050-cfm Holley Dominator, MSD ignition, and a custom-built exhaust system finalize the overgrown air pump. Transmission: J.W. Performance Transmission-built 727 with a reverse–manual valve body, 9-inch/4,200 stall convertor with a trans brake, B&M shifter, and a Gear Vendors overdrive. Rear: Narrowed 9-inch is filled with a 4.56-geared Detroit Locker differential and Strange axles. Suspension: (Front) Art Morrison’s Super Strut, (Rear) X-link with Strange coil overs and ladder bars. Brakes: Four-wheel discs with Wilwoods in front and Strange Engineering rotors and calipers in the rear. Wheels/Tires: Welds and Mickey Thompsons (Front) 15x4½-inch wheels on 26x7.50x15 M/T Sportsman tires, (Rear) 15x14-inch Double Bead lock wheels on M/T’s 32x17.50x15 ET Streets. Paint/Body: Original unibody had its floors and trunk replaced before it was fitted to the round-tube frame. AAR Fiberglass provided the hood, front fenders, trunk lid, and bumpers, and Rick Perry (aided by Don Reese and Ron Sheed) got it all ready for the Sikkens two-stage Viper Red enamel. Interior: Fernando Torres custom-stitched the SCAT Sportsman race bucket seats, door panels, and dash pad in tan leather with matching suede inserts. Steering wheel is a repro Tuff one on a Flaming River tilter, and tan/brown carpets cover the floors. This is one serious bad boy, gas sucking, tire evaporating machine! For sale in our Chicago showroom is this one of a kind 1971 Altered Dragster. Powered by a 440 cubic inch big block V8 set up in front of the driver and paired with a TH400 automatic transmission, this baby hauls! This Dragster is well known in the Chicago area, as hit has been raced at several active and not defunct drag strips in the surrounding areas. While the bones of this dragster have remained the same over the years, some changes were made for long-term reliability, safety of the driver, and to stay competitive with other vintage racers. Most recently, the 440 V8 was completely gone through prepared for a full season with about 10 test passes on it to work out any last-minute bugs. The 440 started life as a 427, and was bored a very healthy .100” to pump up displacement. Helping take advantage of those extra cupes is a set of easy breathing Dart Pro 1 heads, a roller cam, and a massive 1050 Dominator carburetor. While a big engine is very important for making successful passes, any real racer knows the rest of the drivetrain is arguably even more important. This dragster has had the full treatment, including a 9” converter from Coan, a brand new TH400 transmission with a trans-brake, and a full Mark Williams 9” rear axle assembly sporting 4.10 gears. With consistent runs in the low 9 second range at over 150mph in the ¼ mile, the seller is confident that a high 8 second pass is attainable in good or better conditions.
