Introduced for the 1969 model year, the Challenger was produced to compete with other upper-level pony cars, such as the Mercury Cougar, which had grown exponentially in popularity through the final half of the 1960s. Powering this Challenger is a 360CID V-8 with long tube Hedman Headers that's mated to a smooth shifting TorqueFlite A904 3-speed automatic transmission, and a set of 2. 76 gears sitting inside the 8' rear end, sending power to the rear wheels. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl and accompanied by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets.
