The first generation Mercury Cougar was an American muscle car introduced to the world in late 1966, and was produced in the years 1967-1970. The Cougar was awarded Motor Trend Car of the Year in 1967. This Cougar came in two models: the Cougar Base, and Cougar RX-7. These models came in two body styles, the 2-door hardtop, and 2-door convertible.
