Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte is proud to list this great 1929 Ford Model A for sale.

The Ford Model A was the second most significant success for the Ford Motor Company after its more famous predecessor, the Model T. The Model A was the first Ford to use the standard set of driver controls with conventional clutch and brake pedals, throttle, and gear shift. Previous Fords used controls that had become uncommon to drivers of other makes, and a rear-view mirror was optional! The Model A was also the first car to have safety glass in the windshield. The Sedan was probably the most popular of the body styles. It was the family saloon of the Model A bodies, and at $495 for the 2-door and $570 for the Fordor, it was great value and extreme luxury after the faithful Model T.

Beautiful, black paint with glistening brightwork is just the beginning of this antique ride. The black top is in like new condition with no signs of wear. The soft and comfortable brown cloth interior is exceptionally roomy, thanks to the four-door design. This Model A looks great and runs and drives just as well. The three-speed manual transmission shifts great! An upgraded, 12volt alternator and the electrical system help to ensure fast starts and reliability. Front turn signals have been added for driving safety and aesthetically fit this car like a glove. A high-quality luggage box out back looks period accurate and adds even more functionality to this great car. Imagine driving the whole family around town in this gorgeous 93-year-old piece of history. Contact us today to find out how.
