Gateway Classic Cars of Detroit is excited to present this 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 race car for sale. This Boss 302 started its life in Dearborn, Michigan as a G-code Boss 302 fastback and has since been rebuilt into the 70's style Trans-Am race car you are viewing. It went through a 3-year refurbishment for use in open track, SVRA or SCCA environments. Power is provided by a replacement G-code 302 CID V8, which is paired with a toploader 4-Speed manual transmission and a Detroit Locker differential. Notable features include titanium intake and exhaust valves, thermally coated JE Pistons, internally balanced with Crower Billet connecting rods, T&D Machine Products valvetrain, 11.5:1 compression ratio, Bud Moore Mini-Plenum intake manifold, custom-built carburetor, Ernie Elliot NASCAR-style valve covers, Ford Motorsport electronic tach-drive distributor, Performance Rod & Custom aluminum radiator w/electric cooling fan. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a stock 4-Speed toploader manual transmission featuring billet shift forks and sliders along with replacement synchros. A Detroit Locker differential is equipped with 4.30:1 gearing. A large-diameter X-pipe exhaust system is capped with a pair of Flowmaster Super 10 mufflers. Further updates include Bilstein Shocks, four-wheel disc brakes, custom-fabricated roll cage, Hurst shifter, Kirkey Racing seats, Fuel Safe Fuel Cell and more.

The exterior wearing a Grabber Blue and Grabber Orange color scheme with a black hood and Boss 302 graphics. Exterior equipment includes a chin spoiler, a rear wing, rear-window bars, and hold-down pins for the hood and trunk lid.

The interior has two Kirkey Racing Fabrication seats that are equipped with Joes Racing Products five-point harnesses. Stripped of stock equipment aside from the dash top and door panels. Adding in a Superior Performance Products three-spoke steering wheel, framing a Jones Tachometer, accompanied by a suite of Stewart Warner gauges to monitor fuel pressure, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and oil temperature. Additional gauges for vacuum level and battery status are fitted within the center of the dash. A four-digit mechanical hour meter shows approximately 4 hours of usage. Topped off with a fire extinguisher that is joined by ignition, and cut-off switches mounted on the transmission tunnel.

The last dyno results showed the vehicle produced 473 horsepower at 7,300 rpm and 370 lb-ft of torque at 6,300 rpm. Options on this 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Race Car include Power Steering, Seat Belts, kill Switch, and racing wheels.
