Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to present this iconic blue 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle. Although it's badged as an SS, 1970 SS's are hard to prove without the build sheet, so worst case, it's a tribute; however, it is quite a tribute! Sporting a massive GM Performance 502 CID V8 with aluminum heads and coated Doug's Headers, it's likely this is putting out more power than a 1970's biggest 454 CID big block ever did. The giant mill is kept cool by one of the highest capacity aluminum radiators we've ever seen, along with 3 thermostatically-controlled electric fans. The headers funnel the exhaust into a true dual setup, which sounds like this beast is a true muscle car. Backing the big 502 is a 4-speed manual transmission and 12 bolt rear end with limited slip differential and a gear ratio in the mid-3's. Inside, upgraded synthetic leather bucket seats have been installed for the front occupants, and the rear bench is maintained. The addition of a custom "ana-digi" electronic instrumentation cluster helps keep the driver informed, and an extra oil pressure gauge is also provided. The blue paint looks good, and its contrasting black SS-style stripes add to the "muscle mystique" that the car brings to the street. Occupants will enjoy the sound from the aftermarket head unit, which has AM/FM/CD capabilities. It rides on a set of Magnum SS-style wheels with chrome beauty rings, which are wrapped with some performance radials. Air Conditioning is installed, and blows cool, but not cold (may just need a recharge). Additional features and options include power brakes, power steering, seat belts, and tilt steering wheel. This '70 big-block Chevelle is not going to last long, so if the icon of the 1970 muscle cars is what you're looking for, act quickly!
