The history of the M series BMW starts in 1983 when the manufacturer took the M88/3 six-cylinder engine which was a modified version of the M88/1 and put it in the E24 chassis creating the M635CSi known as the M6 in North America.

The M6 has been a highly sought-after model with its elegant, aggressive “shark-nose" styling, its luxury equipment and its performance with a top speed of 255KM/h (158MPH).

This 1984 M inspired 635CSi is a beautiful example and has been extremely well cared for throughout its entire life. The original owner purchased this BMW during his military assignment in Belgium in July 1984. Upon his return to the U.S. in June 1988, his BMW was imported to the States with an EPA waiver exempting the car from emissions standards. He then sold the car in 1991. However, this BMW is now back with its original owner, he bought the car back in 2011. His BMW had been with two other owners over 20 years, both kept the car maintained and cared for to the same standard as the original owner.

During the entire 38 year life of this M Inspired 6335CSi, the only modifications done were HARTGE exhaust header, DINAN exhaust, a brake upgrade(drilled and slotted rotors) and a set of 17" Beyern wheels. On top of that, over $18,000 of upkeep and preventive maintenance have been completed since 2011, with most of the parts coming from Baron BMW, the local BMW dealer. In 2017, this 635CSi was entered into an all-German car show in Kansas City and won "Most Outstanding BMW" in a field of 30 other BMW's.
