Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe! In the mid 60’s Ford developed and released a car that would become one of the longest produced cars in American History! We all know the story of the Mustang, the quintessential Pony Car that took America by storm! While even today these cars are loved and we are happy there are many of these ponies still around! Here we have a ’68 model and wow what a color. The Gulfstream Aqua sets this car apart and in the sun is truly one of the sharpest colors on this model! Open the door and you’ll find a super sharp black vinyl interior that hardly looks used. Under the hood is a 302ci V8 backed by a rebuilt 4-speed automatic and is sporting a 8” rear end and 2.80 gear ratio. Drivetrain per owner is stated to be out of a late 80s fox body mustang. Car runs, drives, and shifts out well and has a nice sound to it.

The build is extensive so lets get into it. Outside of the drivetrain swap, the car received the following in and around 2018: Aluminum radiator w/electric fan, new fuel lines and fuel tank, fuel sending unit, new engine feed harness, new front end, new brakes (front disc conversion), Borgeson Power Steering, new rear springs, tie-rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, upper/lower control arms, 600lb 1” drop on springs, 3-point seat belts, ’68 Bucket Seats w/’69 Headrests, ’68 Cougar console. Also received new Torque Thrust 2 wheels and new tires. Current owner has had her for about 4 years, acquired from a local private owner and is believed originally from Kansas. Car is titled as a 1968 Ford Mustang and is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! This one won’t last long. Options on this Mustang include: Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, AM/FM Radio, Aluminum Wheels, and Radial Tires. This 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe is offered by our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (812) 294-1555 or email us at
