Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present this awesome Atomic Orange 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Indianapolis 500 Pace Car edition. 2007 marked the fourth consecutive year that the Corvette was selected to be the Indy 500 Pace Car; plus, it was the first time since 1998 that an Indy 500 Pace Car version would also be offered to the public. This car is #460 of 500 total Indy 500 Pace Car replicas and comes with numerous plaques won by this car in various car shows, along with the original VIN-stamped welcome letter from General Motors (and co-signed by Tony George of Indianapolis Motor Speedway), and a framed Monroney for the car.
The distinguishing features of the pace car replica convertibles include:
* Atomic Orange exterior color, including door handles
* Indianapolis 500 exterior graphics - including gold ribbon graphics that flow
outward from the front fender vents and "Indianapolis 500" door logos
* Special Indianapolis 500 fender badges
* Z06-style rear spoiler
* New aluminum "split-spoke" wheels in Sterling Silver
* 3LT trim package
* 400HP aluminum LS2 V8
* Ebony seats with embroidered Indianapolis 500 logos
* Interior trim plate and pods painted Atomic Orange
* Atomic Orange engine covers
All the pace car replicas are equipped with the Corvette's standard LS2 small-block V-8 and Z51 performance package, which provides drilled brake rotors when equipped with the Magnetic Ride Control. A six-speed manual transmission was standard, with the six-speed paddle-shift automatic optional (this one has the paddle shift automatic and the Z51 suspension). The navigation system with Bose audio, as well as OnStar, was standard. However, this official Pace Car replica has some additional enhancements that are not likely on any of the others "in the wild". For starters, it has been treated to some extra attention to the paint: swirl removal, followed by Full Front Expel treatment, and Total Ceramic Coating. The engine bay was treated to a Lingenfelter CAI, along with paint-matched accessory and trim covers to match the standard paint-matched engine top covers. The original Dual-DIN head unit was replaced with a Kenwood system, that has Navigation as well as a backup camera that feeds into it. The original tires have been replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ High Performance Radials, which are P245/40ZR18 up front, and P285/35ZR19 in the rear. Indy 500 Corvette Pace Car Editions are highly sought after cars, so take advantage of this opportunity!
