Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this classy 1950 MG TD. Between the fresh paintjob and sporty engine, this car is loads of good looking fun!

Under the hood of this English sports car is a Ford four cylinder engine that was rebuilt roughly 3,100 miles ago. The engine runs well and provides good power for a spirited drive around twisty roads. This sweet ride is also fitted with a few new parts, including a new battery, new starter, new fuel pump, new master cylinder, new alterator, new voltage regulator, and a new electric fan. Sending the American provided power to the rear end is a four speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly through the gears and provides a confident shifter throw. The transmission was also rebuilt when the engine was. Overall this powertrain runs well and is perfectly suited for a car like this

Moving outward, the exterior of this car is finished in a two tone red/black paint jop that was redone just two years ago. The paint presents itself well and definitely accents the curves of this agile sportscar. Supporting each corner of the car are radial tires with decent life left in them. Overall, the exterior of this car is a good driver quality condition.

Upon entering the vehicle, the driver will be greeted by tan vinyl seats that are very comfortable and in good condition. Laying below those seats is clean tan carpet to match. The car is somewhat minimalistic on the interior, but features an AM/FM radio that currently is not wired in. Overall the interior is in good conditon and matches up to the body well when it comes to condition. The car is nice and shows well, but not so nice that one would be afraid to drive it.

1949 MG YT Tourer

1949 MG YT Tourer

Engine: 1250cc 4 cylinder
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Mileage: 1,946 ( undocumented )

We are excited to have for sale in our Gateway Classic Car Saint Louis Showroom is a very rare 1949 MG YT 2DR Tourer Convertible. BACKGROUND: Only 904 YT’s were built for export to the United States from 1947 to 1950. The MG YT cars used rack and pinion steering, which was a rarely seen option for a car in America at the time. This particular MG YT fires right up and purrs just like a kitten. It runs and drives very well and is ready for a new owner to drive and enjoy it as often as desired. It is utilizing the same engine as the TC, a 1250cc 4 cylinder, but with a higher compression and two 1 BBL carburetors producing 54.4 horsepower and 64 lb-ft of torque. The independent front suspension setup features unequal length A-arms and coil springs to provide valuable feedback to the driver. Also standard were drum brakes and 16 inch wheels on all four corners. The chassis on the YT utilized a steel ladder frame, it was often and incorrectly said to be made of wood. What was made of wood, most of which was oak, was the framework on which the bodywork was hung. The MG YT Touring Convertible has 2 doors and seats 4 passengers. The interior features leather upholstery and wood grain accents, which was much more refined than the earlier MG T-Series sports cars. This YT body is finished in light beige with metallic brown fenders, and a dark brown cloth convertible top. The exterior color combination beautifully matches the beige leather interior with dark brown piping throughout. The odometer reads 1,946, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1949 MG YT 2DR Tourer Convertible include: Leather Upholstery, Manual Convertible Top, Wide White Wall Bias Ply Tires, and Hub Caps. 1949 MG TC

1949 MG TC

Engine: 76.3ci/54hp
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual
Mileage: 2,574 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Atlanta showroom is this 1949 MG TC. This car will give you the full experience of fine British motoring. The red interior and red exterior shows how good this MG has been cared for over the years. It is un-restored and in original condition with matching numbers and only 31921 miles. That is about as good as you may find in an example of an original MG TC. Twin SU- semi-down draught carburetors, 1250cc 4 cylinders and 54.4hp at 5200rmp puts you right in the middle of what it means to drive. It has always been garage kept in its 67 years of life with just a few minor paint imperfections which are expected because of it age. She is a real head turner. The TC Midget was the first postwar MG launched in 1945. It was quite similar to the pre-war TB, sharing the same 1,250 cc pushrod-OHV engine with a slightly higher compression ratio of 7.4:1 giving 54.5 bhp at 5200 rpm. The MG TC was exported to the United States, even though only ever built in right-hand drive. The export version had slightly smaller US specification sealed-beam headlights and larger twin rear lights, as well as turn signals and chrome-plated front and rear bumpers. The body was approximately 4 inches wider than the TB and measured at the rear of the doors to give more cockpit space. The tachometer was directly in front of the driver, while the speedometer was on the other side of the dash in front of the passenger. Options include: Bias ply tires, leather interior, wire wheels, and a convertible manual top. 1964 MG MGB

1964 MG MGB

Engine: 4 Cylinder
Transmission: 4 Speed Manual w/ Overdrive
Mileage: 1,600 ( since rebuilt )

With only 1,600 miles on a freshly rebuilt drivetrain and a stack of receipts detailing the rebuild and restoration, this 1964 MG B is one of the nicest examples left! The stock 1.8L inline 4-cylinder and 4-speed manual transmission have been professionally rebuilt and fires right up. The stock 91 horsepower in this car was enough to get this little British roadster up to a top speed of 103mph and handles exceptionally well! Something else very unique to this car is that 3rd gear as well as 4th gear have an overdrive option that will help keep your rpm's lower no matter what speed. The recently reupholstered black interior looks great and will keep you comfortable on the longer drives. The black interior compliments the stunning red exterior well and will turn heads where ever it goes. As you slide in, fire it up and start to cruise you will be amazed at how capable this car feels. The low stance and light weight allow it to dart around easily but is not so rigid that it is a rough ride. If you are looking for a fun roadster that you can take out on a long weekend cruise or just down to the local car show, this MG B is an excellent option for you! A great deal of time and money has been put into this MG to get it ready for the next owner. This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom.
