This 1927 Chevrolet Capitol Cabriolet is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1927 was a pivotal year for the auto industry. Henry would bring out his Model A which was an evolution of the Model T. The Chevrolet capitol would be the first real competition for Ford making this a do or die move. Priced right inline with the Model A the Capitol would steal a pretty good piece of the market from ole Henry. This example has been restored to what you would expect to see back in the 20’s. The green paint looks good with the black accenting it perfectly. The rims are correct and with the tires being tall and skinny which was due to the roads not being paved. There is even a spare tire on the back just in case you don’t have AAA. Under the hood is the 4 cylinder that really brought Chevrolet into the main stream. The 171 CID inline 4 produced a little less than 30 HP. The 3 speed Manual Transmission shifts like it should making these cars a little challenging but extremely fun to drive. The top is in great condition but is most likely going to be used on a slim occasion. This car is made for those sunny days with the top a just in case thing. Kind of like that hand powered wiper, I don’t think I would want to be caught out with that thing. The bench seat is vinyl allowing for easy cleaning while being extra durable. Options on this 1927 Chevrolet Roadster include; Bias Ply Tires, Steel Wheels, Manual Convertible Top and Vinyl Interior. To view this 1927 Chevrolet Capitol Cabriolet including an HD video, at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1930 Chevrolet Coupe

1930 Chevrolet Coupe

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: 700R4
Mileage: 1,000 ( since rebuilt )

This good looking 1930 Chevrolet Coupe is for sale in our Louisville Showroom. There are various theories about the origin of the term "hot rod". The common theme is that "hot" related to "hotting up" a car, which means modifying it for greater performance. One theory is that "rod" means roadster, a lightweight 2-door car which was often used as the basis for early hot rods. Another theory is that "rod" refers to camshaft, a part of the engine which was often upgraded in order to increase power output. Under the hood of this good-looking street rod is the Heart Beat of America. That’s right, the most popular V8 engine to be used in a street rod for the last 50 years, a small block Chevy engine. Cubic displacement of the V8 is a nice healthy 350 inches. The V8 is mated to a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. The two toned green and black goes really well together. The top hasn’t been chopped down, so there is still plenty of head room inside this old Chevy. Inside, gray cloth bucket seats are up front with a matching rear bench seat in the rear. The wood ribs have been left exposed and a little of that work in progress. After all, are Hot Rods really ever done? The dash has been filled with aftermarket gauges and an aftermarket tilt steering column with a woodgrain steering wheel has been added. The current owner has owned this beauty for the last 15 years, he has just decided it is time for someone else to enjoy this beauty. Options for this 1930 Chevrolet Coupe include; Power Brakes, Tilt Steering and Aluminum Alloy wheels wrapped in Radial tires. For more information on this 1930 Chevrolet Coupe for sale, please call the Louisville showroom at (812) 294 – 1555 or email us at Louisville@GatewayClassicCars.com. This level of customization continues with the body and it quickly becomes evident that this is anything but your run of the mill sedan, it’s been chopped, nosed, decked, shaved, frenched, and tucked. The windows operate from a central billet aluminum control panel on the ceiling and the doors are opened by key fob. Engine: 283 V8
Transmission: M22 Muncie 4 Speed Wide Ratio

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this 1931 Chevrolet Independence. This Coupe is powered by the late year 1961 Corvette 283 cubic inch motor bored out .030 over. It is coupled to an M22 wide ratio Muncie 4 speed with an independent rear suspension from a C3 Corvette. 1931 was the last year Chevy out-sold Ford by blowing the doors off their little four cylinders. Ford introduced their 8 cylinder flathead in 1932, which was Bonnie and Clyde’s preferred choice to outrun the law. Had Bonnie and Clyde been driving this 1931 Chevrolet Five Window Coupe they could have gotten away for more days of bank robbing. This slick little coupe is quick but also stops well with disc brakes on all four corners. The body is all steel with fiberglass fenders and running boards. The beautiful blue paint will attract loads of attention. However, for those who like to seek more attention, there is an electric switch operated line lock to hold the front wheels while the rear tires do a “smoking burnout.” This 1931 Chevrolet Independence 5 Window Coupe is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
