1934 Ford 3 Window Coupe

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 1,587 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is ecstatic to offer this 1934 Ford 3-window Coupe. No expense was spared in the production of this modernized, builder-owned hot rod. Lovingly assembled and maintained, every receipt for this 3-window build was saved and documented during the process, guaranteeing the car’s value for years to come. This ’34 is rocking a powdercoated Pete & Jake’s chassis, pinched in the front, and bobbed in the rear to give this custom a truly sinister stance. A Redneck Street Rods ’34 fiberglass body sits upon the frame with a professional 5” channeling and a 2 5/8” chop. Redneck produces the finest bodies in the street rodding business, and is the go-to body for builders across the globe due to its superior manufacturing. The coupe is finished in DuPont Black Pearl with several coats of DuPont clear. Upon further inspection, you will find a very subtle Blue Pearl, Orange Pearl and Red Pearl ghost flame striking down the front of the hood. In respect to drivability, the coupe has been outfitted with Aldan coilovers on all four corners, Wilwood brakes, and a Currie Ford 9” rear end. The powerplant is hosted by a FUEL-INJECTED SBC 350 CID Edelbrock crate motor pushing 480hp to the crank, paired to a 4L60E Bowler transmission with a Lokar floor shifter and Inland Empire polished aluminum driveshaft. The customization continues with staggered 18” and 20” Colorado Customs wheels, Colorado Customs steering wheel, Classic gauges, pushbutton start, custom stereo/CD player, fully customized leather interior, and Vintage Air air conditioning. 1936 Ford Hot Rod

1936 Ford Hot Rod

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 274 ( undocumented )

It’s not everyday that Gateway Classic Cars is given the pleasure to offer a vehicle that was built, documented, and owned by the same individual. What you see here is fantastic mix of 50’s east coast, patina rod, and rat rod stylings that took over 3 years to complete. This 1936 Ford Pickup is the final build of a man’s 45 year legacy of constructing custom rods. The build began with a fully customized frame. The rear is “Z’ed” approximately 10” to make way for a truly sinister stance. Unlike other rat rods, the ’36 Ford truck cab was lovingly restored, channeled 4”, and all cancerous rust was removed and replaced with new metal before being finished in Flat Black. The powertrain boasts an ever-popular and rebuilt/resealed 300 hp Chevy 350 small block pushing 9:1 compression which calls for 87 octane fuel. Lake-style headers provide the driver with an aggressive exhaust note. Behind the mildly-cammed Chevy 350 sits a TH350 3 speed automatic transmission with shift kit, custom driveshaft, and Ford 9” posi rear end with coilovers. The front suspension has been donned with manual rack and pinion steering, period-correct drop axle, and leaf spring. Manual disc brakes from an Impala with new stainless steel lines are utilized up front, while the rear is capped with drums. All gauges are in working order. The 14 gallon fuel cell will provide this build with a longer journey capacity than most custom rods. The car is correctly titled as a 1936 Ford, which can sometimes prove difficult depending on which state you seek approval, and the VIN is stamped both in the frame and firewall. Simply put, you can NOT put a custom rod like this together for even twice the modest sticker price. This ’36 Ford would be a fantastic initiation for anyone interested in entering the world of custom rodding, and all of the difficult work has been performed by a veteran and professional of the automotive business. 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car

1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car

Engine: Flathead V8
Transmission: 3-Speed Manual
Mileage: 21,896 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is excited to offer this very unique 1940 Ford Super Deluxe Flower Car once again. If you're scratching your head thinking "I've never seen one of those before!" It's probably because you most likely have not. This 1940 Ford Deluxe was produced by the Ford Motor Company and then converted by The Eureka Manufacturing Company of Rock Falls Illinois into a flower car. Essentially starting out as a 5-window coupe, the conversion lengthened the chassis and the convertible rear casket compartment was created with metal rollers and pins to store the side rails that would hold flowers in place. This car had a dual use of being enclosed with the original canvas cover for the less elaborate funerals and having the rear compartment cover removed and side rails installed for a more elaborate send off. Flower cars were popular during the middle of the century and now are rarely seen in modern funerals. While most if not all of these conversions done by Eureka were on General Motors vehicles this one being a Ford and not a Packard or Cadillac makes this highly obscure and is believed to be the only one ever made. This car was purchased new in 1940 and check out the original photos of the car being delivered. Now fast forward 78 years and you will notice that not much has really changed. This is an original, unmolested, unrestored car that still retains the original paint, original canvas cover, original interior and powertrain. Now is your chance to own something that nobody else has and enter the world of Professional Car Collectors. Surely this will be the only one at whatever show you attend and thanks to years of maintenance and recent service work performed this car is ready for the road and will cruise at highway speeds. New parts include brake shoes, wheel and master cylinders, brake hoses, rear axle seals, new points set, fuel tank, fuel pump and carburetor overhaul. Located in our Chicago showroom, this 1940 Ford Deluxe Flower Car can be seen including an HD video and pictures at www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1946 Ford Super Deluxe

1946 Ford Super Deluxe

Engine: 221 CID V8
Transmission: 3-speed Manual
Mileage: 31,020 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this classic 1946 Ford Super Deluxe. The ’46 is a smooth body style with, at the time, a powerful V8. The flat head V8s have gained quite a following recently, and restorers hunt for them to use in the classics. While not known for being a powerhouse, they give a smooth power band with plenty of torque. This coupe is sporting one such example. Powered by a 221 cubic inch modified flat head V8 matched with a 3-speed column-shifted manual transmission, this is an authentic driver. The V8 produced near 60 horsepower when new, but thanks to some Offenhauser heads, an upgraded Comp camshaft, and a few other improvements, power has been bumped up to an estimated 75 horsepower. These upgrades and power boost make cruising with more modern cars easier. Fresh red paint has been laid over the original sheet metal giving a like-new appearance. A larger clutch has been installed giving better gripping power, as well as longer life expectancy, making for a more robust and reliable drive train. This slightly modified antique makes for a great cruiser and is sure to get you smiling. Inside the car you'll find classic bench seats and the original dash to take you back in time. Options include: AM Radio, Hub Caps, and White Wall Tires. For more information on this ’46 Ford Super Deluxe, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. 1957 Ford Thunderbird

1957 Ford Thunderbird

Engine: 312 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 7,662 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this beautiful "Blue Dream" 1957 Ford Thunderbird. With a nice Azure Blue paint laid over the body and removable hard top of this classic, one can’t help but be drawn back to a simpler time. Elvis was the most controversial musician, 12 Angry Men was in theaters with Old Yeller, and the cost of a gallon of gas was a whopping twenty-four cents. The 312 cubic inch V8 cradled snugly under hood was the top of the line engine offered, and did a fine job of making this sporty roadster scoot all over town. Backing up the Thunderbirds V8 is a healthy 2-speed automatic that shifts as smooth as when it was new. While the cool blue covering this ’57 T-bird isn’t the original color, it is very fitting on this classic Ford. The slick two-tone “Dresden Blue” interior matches very well, and adds to the very classic look on this beautiful ‘bird. This feisty Ford was treated to some serious restoration work around 2006, including the fresh paint, a brake overhaul, suspension work, a new gas tank, starter, motor mounts, wiring harnesses, the list goes on and on! What you are looking at is a new-new 1957 Ford Thunderbird! This sporty cruiser will paint a perfect smile on your face every time you fire up that Thunderbird V8. Options include: Power Seats, Wipers, Hub Caps, Vinyl Interior, Manual Top and Removable Hard Top, and While Wall Tires. 1959 Chevrolet Impala

1959 Chevrolet Impala

Engine: 348 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 12,010 ( actual )

What is it that makes a car so valuable? Is it the cars brand? The big motor? Its rarity? Or is it memories we have with it. This beautiful four door ’59 Chevrolet Impala may not be as desirable and valuable compared to the two door convertible Impala, but it was the absolute car to have for the family man. Many families of the day might have gone the station wagon route, but the four door Impala offered beautiful styling for the driver, and enough space to bring to the whole family. For sale is this beautifully appreciated and well maintained 1959 4 door Impala. This beautiful Impala still maintains its original Gothic Gold Paint with just the roof and hood receiving new coats of paint, and its Satin Beige interior. This car has been appreciated by all its owners and has been trailered around to car shows by its current owner for the past 30+ years. Over that span it has collected quite a few awards that belong to the car as it was the winner! This car has nearly all the options available at the time. It is powered by the original 348 connected to the desirable non-shifting TurboGlide transmission. It also has the added option of Turbo-Thrust giving the engine a little more power for large sedan. The car also features the dual exhaust option which complements the cars beautiful rear end styling, and they both have recently been replaced giving it a clean look. The interior has been protected under a clear plastic cover over the entire front and back seats. The car also has the great option of both power steering and brakes. This great car is looking for its next owner to win more awards and to make new memories. 1962 Chevrolet Impala

1962 Chevrolet Impala

Engine: 350 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 42,440 ( undocumented )

For sale in our Chicago showroom is this show-worthy 1962 Chevrolet Impala. The Chevrolet Impala has always been a staple in American automotive history, and this classic cruiser lives up to the hype! With a strong 350 cubic inch small block Chevy V8 partnered up with a smooth 3-speed automatic, this Impala is as reliable as it is fun! Built to be a “Street/Strip” car, any extra weight savings helps, as does any reduction in engine drag, so power steering is not present, neither are power brakes. With roughly 50 pounds save off the nose end of the Impala by not adding those items, this full-size coupe feels as agile and nimble as a much smaller ride. A fresh coat of Ruby Red enamel paint sparkles like the gem it’s named after. One would be hard pressed to believe that the paint is really from 2008! The Impala has been in the family for roughly 13 years, and has been meticulously cared for during that time. Plenty of care went into not only selecting just the right colors, engine parts, and interior, but also in keeping the restoration looking fresh for as long as possible. With mostly original metal (the trunk pan needed to be replaced), the lines are as straight as GM made them. Having been owned by a firefighter during the restoration, there are a handful of fire suppressors keeping you safe, in the event of the worst. Strap into these race-inspired seats, buckle the 4-point harness, and have a great time! Options include: Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, and Racing Wheels. For more information on this Ruby Beauty, contact our Chicago showroom at (708) 444-4488 or Chicago@GatewayClassicCars.com. 1967 Ford Mustang

1967 Ford Mustang

Engine: 289 CID V8
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 30,082 ( undocumented )

Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this quintessential example of a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe! The Ford Mustang was introduced unto the world on April 17th, 1964. The Mustang, conceptualized from the already popular Ford Falcon, provided the American working-class with a chance to own a modest sports car with a modest price tag, all without sacrificing overall enjoyment or amenities. Shortly after beginning production in mid-1964, the Mustang underwent extreme body modifications every couple of years, the first small tweak is seen here with this 1967. The 1967 and 1968 models were elongated by a few inches, with modifications to the car taking place in the front nose, as well as the sharpening of the body lines along the sides, while the rear taillight panel would now present itself with an indention, rather than a protrusion. Smaller, underpowered 8 cylinder motors were now offered with larger displacement than the first two production years, as well as more horsepower, and more amenities (such as back up lights). Upon decoding the VIN and datacode plate, we find that this particular C-Code 1967 (original 289cid v8 2bbl) was birthed in the San Jose plant before being shipped to Seattle for sale. An additional comfort that we find in this decoding of the Mustang is that this 1967 was Candy Apple Red from the factory, as well as adorned with black buckets, making her trim-code matching and very period-correct.
