Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte is proud to list this clean 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Collector's Edition.

The Corvette C4 is the fourth generation of the iconic sports car from Chevrolet, produced from 1984 to 1996. Unlike the body-on-frame construction of earlier Corvettes, the C4 was built with an uniframe. Not to be confused with a unibody assembly, in which the exterior body panels are structural members, the uniframe combines critical elements of the car, such as the windshield frame, into one welded unit. 1996 saw the release of a Collector's Edition Corvette featuring silver wheels and a Sebring Silver Metallic paint. 5,412 of these cars were built: 1,381 convertibles and 4,031 coupes. In all, 21,536 C4s were sold in 1996.

With just under 35,500 miles on the odometer, this silver bullet is just beginning its life cycle. The silver paint still looks amazing, as does the gray leather interior. The removable acrylic Targa top keeps you warm in the winter, and the air conditioning will cool you off in the summer.

"Don't purchase a '96 Collector Edition Corvette and squirrel it away in a warehouse, hoping it will make you wealthy. If you want to collect something that really might make a fortune someday, try stamps, dolls, hood ornaments, or a limited run of Elvis plates. Just don't let us hear that you've got one of these road weapons polybagged in an Arizona garage. This car was made to be driven. We know-we slipped the wrapper off ours and took it out for a thorough workout. Verdict: This is a keeper and is likely one of the finest all-around Corvettes ever hatched out of the Bowling Green, Kentucky, plant."
