You will need to either sign up initially, or log in to place any bids on the auction. Once you have signed up, you may register to bid on a vehicle lot in an auction. You will be prompted to register for each auction you wish to participate in, however once you've created your sign in account, that will remain the same throughout the process.

Once registered to bid, you may view all of the available lots for that auction. There will be a 'place bid' icon for you to place the maximum amount that you would be willing to pay for the vehicle.

Yes! If you place a bid at the maximum amount you are willing to pay for a vehicle, that will set up the proxy bid process. This process allows you to set your maximum bid however remain incrementally competitive up to the maximum bid that you place, automatically.

In addition to the information provided in the photos and lot/vehicle description, you have an option to send questions via the 'contact us' option or using the chat icon on the left side of your screen. An inventory specialist will follow up with you to assist.

At the conclusion of the auction, the winning bidder will be contacted by a Gateway Classic Cars specialist to walk you through the final steps of the purchase process.

Yes. The buyer’s fee is based on the auction industry standard at 12.5%.

For all registered bidders, a credit card is required to be on file. A deposit of $1000 will be charged at the conclusion of the auction for winning bidders. Additional purchase processes and payment methods may be handled with the Gateway Classic Cars specialist directly.

Once a valid bid has been placed, it may not be cancelled. Please ensure that you are bidding on vehicles that you can follow through with the final purchase process.

If an auction does not have a reserve, 'no reserve' will be indicated. All other auctions will indicate 'reserve not met' until such time as the bidding meets that reserve point. After that, 'reserve met' will be displayed.

Nothing! All new consignments with Gateway Classic Cars are eligible and part of the auction process. It is an additional service provided by Gateway Classic Cars to find the right buyer for your classic car.

Gateway Classic Cars has a weekly auction and as soon as they have completed the photos for your vehicle, it will be live on the next scheduled auction.

Your Gateway Classic Cars team member will walk you through the final steps for them to receive your title and provide you with the funds.

Yes! All vehicles signed up for the Gateway Classic Cars Consignment Program are automatically included in our auction process.

This program is currently available to all vehicle consignments through Gateway Classic Cars. Please contact them here for more details.

The weekly auction begins on Tuesday AM and concludes that following Saturday, however your auction end time on that Saturday may vary based upon bidding activity.

A reserve is the minimum price that you would be willing to sell your vehicle. The Gateway Classic Cars inventory specialists will work with you on market valuation and help determine the best reserve for your vehicle. We do not disclose reserves to the general public or bidders.

If the reserve for your vehicle is not met by the conclusion of your auction, your vehicle will automatically update as being for sale at www.gatewayclassiccars.com – There is nothing that you would need to do for this step.

Yes. You may adjust your reserve price at any time. Please contact your Gateway Classic Cars team for assistance on lowering your reserve price.

Typically all vehicles go through one round of the auction process and then will continue to be advertised and marketed by Gateway Classic Cars as part of their consignment program.
