The Galaxie name was used on Ford's full-size cars from 59 to 61 to try and cash in on the excitement of the space race. Starting in 1962 they added the 500 and 500 XL to the name plate in order to denote its top of the line cars. Competing head to head with Chevrolet's Impala SS, the full-size convertible market was very tough but Ford held their own with a lineup of Galaxies that offered all the muscle and style a driver could ever want. This beauty is a great example of what the 60's were all about. Finished in a baby blue paint job with rear fender skirts this Galaxie 500 drop top is truly a sight to behold. The black interior welcomes you with a front bench seat that is fit for all occasions. The folding soft top makes sure you are ready for any type of weather.
