Vinyl InteriorC3 Corvette fans! Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is excited to resent this very sharp 1973 Corvette Stingray, in red on black. 1973 was the VERY LAST of the chrome bumper Corvettes folks and this is a nice one.
1973 was a time of big change for cars in the United States, as new government regulations pretty much did away with the performance free-for-all we enjoyed prior to 1971. Compression ratios came down, more smog equipment was mandated, but somehow the folks at Chevrolet managed to keep the Corvette fun and respectable. 1973-1975 Corvettes have a very cool cold air induction system, and when you crack open the Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel on that 350 Chevy small block, it makes an awesome howl. The whole hood reverberates the Quadrajet roar they are famous for. Yep, these puppies still made power, thanks to still decent compression, factory dual exhaust, no catalytic converters, and the cold air induction system.
This Stingray is nice; the red exterior looks very good, far better than most you will find. The black interior of this C3's is very much all business and cockpit like, making it fun to drive, and a bit of a trip back in time. The bulging fender lines look terrific from the drivers seat, and the interior- even in 1973 maintains the original 1968 C3 look, and feel. There were very few performance cars left in 1973. This car is one of the few that held on for dear life.
The owner has provided several receipts for work done in the last few years, including having the transmission rebuilt, new motor mounts, plugs, fuel sending unit, oil pan gasket and rear main seal, all new exhaust system, new brake calipers & front hoses, power steering hoses and power cylinder, rear end service, and more. Truly a caring owner. Everything works per the owner.
