The name "Coronet" comes from a crown worn by royalty. The Coronets position in trim level would change with time but the legacy wouldn't be forgotten. Push up to the mid-60s and Dodge unveiled the 5th generation model that would enter into the muscle car wars. The Coronet would see 7 generations spanning up until 1976.

Here we have something special! A '66 model that is a factory 426 Hemi car! Vin starts with WH23H67 which designates a '66 Coronet 440 2 dr. Hardtop with a 426ci Hemi built in St. Louis, MO! The dark green exterior looks sinister on this car. Black and charcoal vinyl interior goes well with the tones and is in good order. The original motor may be gone but the owner sourced a rebuilt era correct 426ci Hemi to replace the 440 that had been installed after the original motor was removed. 2 - 4bbl carbs sit atop that monstrous Hemi! Power is ran to the ground through a rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission. She is sporting a 8 rear end and a 3.54 gear ratio. She runs and drives out great and the exhaust note is something to fall in love with or run the other way if you are pulling up beside it at a red light. The restoration of the car was completed in 2008.
