Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. The Corvette is as American as apple pie. With over 60 years of production and eight design changes the Corvette has withstood the test of time. In 1953 the first Corvette rolled off the assembly line becoming the most popular sports car in history. The excitement continues as the first mid-engine Corvette rolled of the assembly line in 2020. 1979 was a big year for the Corvette with almost 40,000 units sold.

This sexy 1979 Chevrolet Corvette is painted in tuxedo black with a stunning vinyl red interior. T-tops and factory rally wheels add to the sporty good looks. Full instrumentation, four-spoke steering wheel, high back bucket seats and an aircraft-styled center console are standard interior features. Under the hood is 5.7 Liter four- barrel V-8 with dual snorkel air intake and a larger “y" pipe exhaust system for improved performance. The four-speed manual transmission is attached to an all-new (in 1979) rear axle with a 3.55 gear ratio. Independent suspension front and rear, limited-slip differential, power steering and four-wheel power disk brakes were all standard in 1979. Comfort features include air conditioning, AM/FM/cassette radio, power windows and a tilt/telescopic steering wheel.
