Through three decades the Trans Am has always had a reputation as America's exotic muscle car. With a wide array of drivetrain options, the Firebird would grace the roads of America until its heart-breaking end in 2002. Now is your chance to have a slice of American History! Here is a 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in bright Red with the renowned large Firebird emblazoned on the hood for all to see! Under the hood you will find a healthy 403CID V8 with 4-barrel mated to Turbo Hydra-Matic 350 three-speed automatic transmission. The interior features bolstered bucket seats and a rear bench with black upholstery, while Trans Am-branded mats protect the black carpeting. A Kenwood Bluetooth stereo has been installed along with speakers that are only located in the rear shelf. A three-spoke steering wheel on a tilting column sits ahead of an engine-turned instrument panel that includes a 100-mph speedometer, oil pressure and water temperature, a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock, and auxiliary gauges consisting of a fuel level gauge and battery voltage. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 64,398 miles although true mileage is unknown. Plus, you will also love how it is full of features like power windows, a tilt steering column, and provisions for factory air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.)
