The Gateway Classic Cars Showroom of Saint Louis is proud to offer one crazy machine: a 1923 Ford Model T Altered race car. It is race ready. All you need to do is roll is off of your trailer, start it, and go!
This is a track only drag car being sold with no title, on Bill of Sale only. This bad machine is built on a custom Chrome Molly chassis with a 125" wheelbase. This chassis has a 2015 NHRA certification. It sports a cast iron Chevy engine with 439 Cubic Inches. With Hilborn Stack injection and open headers it makes roughly 885 horsepower. HOLD ON TIGHT! The engine runs on alcohol which makes it a beast at the track. Backing the big block is a Power-Glide transmission with a 4,800 converter, trans brake, and trans cooler. Behind that is a Dana rear end with 4.56 gears. There's no question this was made to rocket down a drag strip. It has the safety items you'd expect, belts, a chute, and a cage, but other than that there isn't much to this machine. Just a big engine, a solid frame, and a driver with some real courage.
