Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this lovely 1956 Ford Thunderbird. First-gen "baby birds" are stalwarts of the 1950s collector market. With all the classic styling ques of the 50s plus a healthy dose of horsepower, they make for great weekend cruisers. This clean, 1956 Thunderbird is a great example of the breed. Finished in deep black paint and riding on factory hubcaps with white wall tires, it always turns heads. All 50s Thunderbirds are roadsters. This one has the highly desirable porthole hardtop, with a rip free soft top tucked below. The interior is finished in black with white inserts and turned aluminum and chrome are everywhere you look. Reliability is baked into this Bird thanks to no power options. It has manual seats, windows, brakes, and steering. Fortunately, the tires are thin, and the big wheel provides plenty of leverage, so steering isn't a chore. Under the hood is a well-dressed 260hp, 312ci V8. The engine bay looks amazing. Factory stickers, chrome valve covers plus a chrome air breather, nothings out of the place, like factory stock! This bird has been upgraded with front disk brakes and an electric fuel pump. A gorgeous looking 56 Bird that's ready to roll! It'll definitely make you smile when your cruise down the road.
