Sometimes in the automotive industry you'll hear the word 'Survivor', this 1963 Beetle is the very definition of that word. Having been featured in the 2021 issue of 'Volks America' this car is a Volkswagen Purists dream! The current owner found this Beetle completely bone-stock, with its original 'Beryl Green' paint, sitting in Sacramento, CA in the presence of its original owner, who was then was ready to let the car go to a new home.
Once the car made it home with the new owner, they had the idea to build a hotrod stance and give it an all-updated brake system to ensure it was safe to drive. All the original components were kept so that anyone could take it back to being its original self. But to ensure the Beetle could stop safely, all linings were replaced with new shoes, as well as new bearings, wheel cylinders, and a master cylinder.
