First, only 3,438 LeMans Sport convertibles were made in 1972 and you could not get a GTO convertible. Recently, we met with the owners of the car who informed us of how they special ordered the car and anxiously waited for its arrival. Here's a thought, of the the 3400 or so LSCs made in 1972, how many were ordered with the 400ci engine? How many are still road worthy? That has to be a very small number. We have on file, a folder of receipts, the original bill of sale/invoice, a copy of the original title, and the original window sticker. The MSRP in '72 was over $4400!
