1931 Ward LaFrance 58F

This Ward LaFrance was Delivered to Ocean Gate NJ Volunteer Fire Department on August 12th , 1931. Currently powered by a Inline 6 Continental Motor mated to a 4 Speed Manual Transmission. This Ward spent its entire active fire service life as a member of a Volunteer Fire Department in New Jersey. From there it went to a Fire Department to be shown in parades and other events. It later was sold to a Fire Department for personal use and lastly acquired by the current owner in non-operating condition in December of 2018. From there the Restoration began and has just recently been completed! Originally powered by a Continental Inline 8-cylinder gasoline motor and featured a Northern model 34BY rotary gear 650 gpm pump and 250 gallon booster tank. Ward LaFrance entered the custom fire truck manufacturing business in earnest with this triple combination model pumper in April of 1930.
