Before talking about just how beautiful this 2009 Turtle Wax/Street Rodder winner (voted -Street Rod of the Year-), we must 1st go back to the beginning and how this car was brought all together. For his 50th Birthday the owner wanted to buy and build a car of his dreams. In the state of Pennsylvania, the quest for an all steel street rod was found. The car had been sitting 20 years as a project car, but that was about to all change. This Coupe was purchased, taken a part; media blasted, and then sent off to California, so that the fine folks at Marcel Custom Metal shaping could perform their handy work on the car. 2 1/4 inches were taken out of the top, and then it was reassembled. Unlike Fords of the same time period, Chevrolet used wood in the inner construction of their vehicles. This is a big reason why many of these coupes have not survived the ravages of time.
