1937 Ford Deluxe

View Description

1937 was the beginning of a new era for Ford. The square look was on its way out and the round more artistic shapes were making their way into the designs. From the round, frenched in headlights to the 'V' shaped front grill big blue was making a much more modern vehicle. This could be one of the reasons these cars are so popular with Hot Rodders still to this day. Though most of the 37's you see today are fiberglass and have been built in this century the one we have before us is a real deal all steel 37 5 window coupe. Even the fenders are the real deal. The gray paint shows nicely and helps to reveal the curves of this 37 reminding you just how beautiful this car was. The wheels on this 37 are those classic steel wheels with dog dish hubcaps and those whitewall tires. The -suicide- doors were not around for long as they were dangerous hence the name but man they look so cool when opened. The interior is classic mohair and is just as should be. The wood trim is extremely nice and has been lacquered to the finish you see. The stick for the 3-speed manual transmission is in just the right spot allowing for comfortable shifts when cruising down that old back road. With a full bench in the back this 37 has plenty of room...
