This 1939 Plymouth has had some body modifications such as a 2. 5' chop, frenched 1939 Ford taillights, and is dressed in a red metal flake paint job, with pinstriping. The interior was updated by adding late-model power seats, dressed in dark grey leather, as well as a chrome steering column with tilt. She is powered by a GM 350, with some chrome dress-up items, mated to a 700 R4 automatic transmission. She features an updated front end with rack and pinion and 4-wheel disc brakes. 1939 was an exciting time for Plymouth, not only had they a complete new line up but they also hit a major milestone. The 3 millionth car would roll off the assembly line this coming only after the 2 millionth rolled off in 37. With all of those cars you would think at least one of them was a Sedan delivery. Since that just was not the case the current owner decided to make one. A 4 door Sedan was the donor and after a ton of hours and fabrication a 1939 Plymouth Sean Delivery was created. Under the hood a classic small block 350 was sourced giving the little delivery plenty of power while keeping it reliable, after all this things made to drive. A Camaro front clip was sourced giving the 39 a great road feel with the luxury of power steering. The 700r4 not only handles the power from the 350 but gives you the ability to cruise down the highway t 70 without the motor turning 3 grand. This original and stock Sedan is iconic to its pre war era looking just as it would back in 1939. In 1939 Plymouth was booming they had astounding 417,528 Plymouths roll out of the factory that year. The Deluxe like this one here (P8) model far outsold the entry-level Road King which is the base model for of the sedans. As we look at this one you can tell it was well taken care of as it blue paint pops in the light. Under the hood of the beautiful car is a Plymouth 201 cubic inch 6-cylinder engine pushing out 82 horse power. It is then strapped up to a 3 speed standard transmission on the column. This unique Mopar started life as a Sedan and has been re-created to look like a Sedan Delivery on the outside with seating for 4 on the inside. The maroon metallic paint on this beauty is accented nicely with a vintage styled Mopar parts sign on both sides. One can picture a vehicle like this making its rounds to the local Chrysler dealerships of the time to deliver replacement parts for all of the Chrysler cars on the road.

On the inside you will see that the 2-tone upholstery looks very nice and adds a modern touch of comfort. The dash was kept original and proudly displays the Plymouth ship as does the original glass teardrop taillights. The shifter has a very nice white cue-ball with flames for that extra cool touch. The General Motors steering column is topped off with a Demo wood steering wheel. Pop open that glove box door to reveal a modern Alpine CD player for those cruising tunes. The exterior styling is super cool and has a lattice-styled hood vent and a fully operable cowl vent.
