One of the most predictable hot rod trends is throwing a small block Chevy V8 into a Ford body, slapping some paint on the body panels and calling it a day. However, this one of a kind Ford Cabrio went through a much different transition and the outcome and the results are absolutely stunning. This beauty was built from the frame up and rides like a dream on its Mustang II suspension set up. Stopping power is courtesy a disc brake set-up which was donated from a 1982 Ford Thunderbird. Under the hood of this classy cabrio is a 302 High Output V8 which was coughed up out of a '88 Mustang and has been freshened up with a smart selection of go-fast parts. To cut out the complexity, the factory Ford EFI system was ditched in favor for an Edelbrock polished aluminum intake manifold and a matching 650CFM carburetor. The installed cam is a Ford roller grind and Ford Racing also supplied the headers that lead back to the Flowmaster mufflers.
