1950 Ford Club Coupe

View Description

The coupe's updated body was bolted to a ladder-style frame in 1950. The new design's integrated fenders and wide slab sides contributed to its informal moniker, the 'Shoebox Ford. ' Ample chrome accents compliment substantial wraparound bumpers and front grille. The body and wide white sidewalls set off the brilliant chrome in a most attractive way. In the '50s and early '60s, this popular vehicle was often modified by performance-seeking enthusiasts. This stunning example of a 1950 Ford Club Coupe Custom is finished off in a gorgeous Brown with an incredibly plush and comfortable cloth interior on the inside. This gorgeous coupe is powered by a strong running 221 Flathead V8 paired to a smooth shifting three on the tree manual transmission. This is one of the most original Club Coupes you will find,...

1950 Ford Custom

View Description

Nothing embodies the era of old school hot rods like the sound of a throaty flathead. This eye-catching beauty will reel you in and make you want to take it home. This 239 CI Flathead was rebuilt just 3,000 miles ago and features a 3-speed on the tree with overdrive.

Painted in a nice Maroon color this car certainly shows well. The added wheel skirts, and visor add to its appeal as well. The wide white wall tires are a truly classic touch and compliments the car. The interior has been left close to original with a cloth bench seat, and original style dash. This 1950 Ford is ready to get some miles on its tires and get back to the car shows to take home...

1950 Ford Custom

View Description

A few years after WWII ended Ford was looking to bring a new car to the top trim level in their lineup. The Custom name would live on for a long time but the Custom Deluxe specifically was only made from 1949-1951. Here we have a '50 model Custom Deluxe Club Coupe. The Sheridan Blue paint looks good and the chrome is nice and bright. The Blue gray stripe cloth interior looks great and complements the exterior tones. Under the hood is a Flathead 8-cylinder engine backed to a 3-speed manual transmission on the column that we know as '3-on-the-tree. ' The exhaust note from that Flathead sounds very good and healthy. It runs and drives and shifts out very well. This car has been subjected to multiple restorations at different levels. The history of its restoration is documented in detail on a 7-page report with notes going back to the 80s. The biggest restoration appears to have occurred in 1989 when it was repainted, engine rebuilt, and much more. Current owner has had her for over 10 years, acquired from Gateway Louisville. Recent work performed: Upholstery repair in 2017. In 2019 she received a new radiator, new heat indicators for...

1950 Ford Custom

View Description

The 1950 Ford Club Coupe is a popular version of a 1949-1951 model that some historians credit with saving the iconic American manufacturer from demise during the critical post-war years. The 1950 Club Coupe included updates like forward-engine placement that allowed for an enlarged cabin. The antiquated torque shaft was retired in favor of a new drive shaft. The 1950 models included updates that resolved certain handling and noise issues that had plagued the 1949 Fords. As a result, the 1950 Fords are sometimes favored by today's collectors and enthusiasts. The Club Coupe was powered by one of two engines. The 226-cubic inch, Inline-six supplied 95 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque. The 239-cubic inch, flathead V8 was good for 100 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. The engine was mated to a either a three-speed manual or a four-speed manual with overdrive. The coupe's suspension includes a rear end with leaf springs and live axle. The front independent suspension features A-arms and coil springs. Powering this 1950 Ford...

1950 Ford Club Coupe

View Description

The Flathead engine was originally intended to be used for big passenger cars and trucks & it was installed in them (with minor, incremental changes) until 1953, making the Flathead engine's 21-year production run for the U. S. consumer market longer than the 19-year run of the Ford Model T! This engine was also on Ward's Automotive's list of the 10 top engines of the 20th century. It was a staple of hot rodders all across the U. S. in the 1950s, and it remains famous in the classic car hobbies even today, despite the huge variety of other popular V8s that followed. If your heads have the outlet in the front then lucky you, because you most likely have an '8BA' flathead, which ran from 1948-1953, & these engines where the last series in the continental US to be made and are widely considered some of the most desired Flathead's when it comes to stock performance and engineering. This example is equipped with finned Offenhauser high-compression heads, an Offenhauser aluminum...
