1950 Plymouth Deluxe
View Description
Hold onto your hats ladies and gentleman because this Plymouth is not all it appears to be from the outside. Don't let those pretty wide whitewall tires and baby moon hubcaps fool you! Underneath the hood is where all of the action and excitement lies. First a bit of history about the brand and this car itself. Plymouth competed very closely with Ford and Chevrolet in the inexpensive market segment and almost surpassed Ford in 1940 and 1941 in sales. This particular Plymouth was built as a 'sleeper' - basically an old fashioned normal looking car that has a large engine capable of fooling you to think of it as a typical old car and then revealing the tremendous amount of power and speed capabilities. On the outside it looks like something Miss Daisy would be backing into her neighbors yard but when you step on the gas this baby will get up and move just like a muscle car. This vintage Mopar has been in the same collection for a number of years and has had a climate controlled life the whole time.
Under the hood...
